Guan Chee Hong Kong Roasted Duck (Suntec City)

Well charred caramelised char siew with sio bak. Char siew has a good ratio of lean to fat meat which was very addictive while sio bak was a little disappointing as it lacked the “wow” factor. One of the better char siew in food court.

Springy noodles with extremely well charred char siew that is well marinated. The char siew had a good ratio of lean to fatty meat and portion. The noodles were not only springy but went really well with their sauce tossed. Would come back again for their roasted meat.

For a food court meal, I always felt the price for this (S$5.50) was a tad steeper than what I'd expect, but I'd have to say, their Char Siew and roast meats are really yummy! Oh, and that totally addictive sambal chilli too! 😘

A little pricier ($4.80) but an on point plate of wanton noodles. Good roast meat, slippery smooth wantons with fresh fillings, crunchy green Kailan and last but not least decent noodles! The sauce is paired with pork lard oil which gave it a sinful yet indulgent kick! Actually very impressed recently by how some food courts actually are pretty decent championing the notion of hawker food in clean environments! Food prices might but a little higher but they are still more affordable compared to dining at a restaurant. I sincerely hope more local food stalls would be able to make the transition without losing their authentic taste one day (-:
