A fish soup eatery that sells a comprehensive lineup of braised food. Interesting.

Teochew style, which means white fish and clear, savoury soup. The batang fish was lovely - plump and firm. The soup might seem a bit muted to some, but was just nice for me.

A busy Coffeeshop during lunch.
A plate of tender braised duck & pork belly, accompanied with fluffy rice.
Only $8 with chilled drink.
Definitely will return for other variations offered here.

🐟 This was my standard before NTU exams food throughout my 3 years when I have aftn exams (because chicken rice is too oily. Only have these 2 nice food nearest to my house) #burpple #burpplesghawkerfare #hongqinfishandduckporridge

Came by here even though we just had lunch because I couldn’t pass up trying out this fish soup stall that came with a friend’s high recommendation! Love soups like these that look bland but surprises you with the amount of flavour packed in - the comforting broth here was light and sweet tasting (didn’t feel like the msg-laden sort too!) with super fresh slices of batang fish that were firm but tender at the same time. Heard that their duck porridge and range of sides like the braised pork trotters are very popular too, maybe a grab a few more friends along to try?

The kind of 三菜一汤 (3 side dishes + 1 soup) you'd love to enjoy as a family. Side dishes range from a variety of braised meats, legs, and fried fish. We had braised pork trotter, black sauce chicken, taupok, mustard leaves and the delicious Batang fish soup. Chilli on the side was a total killer too; vinegary, intense and sure to light up that inferno in your mouth.
Portions are incredibly generous, so if there's 4 of you, tell the lady that you're ordering for 3 instead! Trust me, there's more than enough to go around.
