It's normal to have second thoughts on having ramen noodles with the broth after all that's the winning combination after all. But this one defied all odds by proving that dry noodles with the right texture and seasoning can too be a winner. If you like more taste in your noodles, feel free to add more chilli oil and vinegar. The fried chicken was totally a bomb and I can't wait to come back for more since its super worth it with 1 for 1.

Left is normal order. Right is upsized noodle. (Free)
Very filling even for the normal sized. Good for the big eaters.

I finally got to tried kajiken after a few failed attempts, because everytime I go to Bugis, kajiken is either closed already ( for tea break) or my friends decided on something else. Anyway, loved the noodle I ordered, with fish roe ( altho a bit salty, but if you mix it well it’s alright) my partner has everything included ($15.80) not bad. I didn’t like the Cha siew there tho, nothing special, doesn’t look appealing to me actually, but the karrage was yumz! The waitress serving was abit rude, but I think she was just having a bad day, hope you guys don’t get her temper treatment ! ;)))

Love it as noodle is thick and chewy! The fried chicken (karaage) is a bit oily while the char siew is not as juicy as I expected.

The place is small though (only 20+ seaters) so be prepared to queue for a while during dinner time.

Tasted like good Japanese bakchormee 🤪 Very worth it with the 1-1 Burpple promotion. The noodles hv the qq bounce

Got the recommended mazesoba and another one with braised pork. The former was nubbad, a mixture of creaminess (from the egg) and the veggies were a pleasant addition to prevent the meal from being too jelat. The braised pork on the other hand, was largely the same. A drier version and the meat was wayyyyyy too salty 😨 also a blackout occured when we were ending our meal, thank god we were almost done by then since the tiny shop was pretty suffocating haha
