All right, so apparently this bak ku teh very famous in Malaysia. Heard the rave about it so had to give it a try since I'm a BKT fan. Taste's subjective but honestly thought it was ok only, plus it ain't cheap. Not worth the price unless there's an offer.

A little on the pricey side - esp if you compare it with the original shop in JB. The BKT is decent, and herbal soup is quite comforting on a cold, rainy day.

Wow...I ate this in JB...didn't expect to eat this in JB one year later!
What can I say...shiok!
I'm a sucker for claypot, soup, pepper and pork...
So that's basically what this restaurant serves up!
2 kinds of soup - white pepper or black herbal. Herbal is more like gravy rather than soup
As for ingredients...try the Spanish iberico pork one first time u visit...after that can just order normal one.
As far as BKT goes...this is premium pricing man

Herbal soup was fragrant and the white pepper was really light and flavourful despite its colour.
The herbal soup left me thirsty for the rest of the day which might be due to lots of MSG added so that was disappointing.
The pork was satisfactory as it was not as tender as I would expect it to be, as it did come off the bones quite easily.

Honestly, I’ll not frequent here as the price is really steep for the portion and quality. I do believe there are better Bak Kut Teh-s around for the price or even lesser.

The toothsome meat with its plush, soft fat is slow-cooked in dark soy sauce and other aromatics till tender.
