The duck meat is tender and good but I’ve had better elsewhere at that price. The creamy potato gratin on the side was really good though...

Soooo good by itself. By far one of the best croissants I’ve had in Singapore! The crust layers are just right (not soggy or too chewy) and it was fresh from the oven (: je l’aime ~

Juicy escargots in a herb and tomato sauce, only wished that the sauce wouldn’t drench the croissant too much! loved the juicy escargots nevertheless!

Had their set lunch at $20, ordered filet of chicken with butter rice. Their white sauce is not too heavy.
Like it as it wasn’t too salty as well.
Love their dessert too.

The food is like what you get in the cafeteria of a supermarket in France: no unusual dish; decent quality, but nothing memorable; basic and standard accompaniments to almost all dishes (rice, spaghetti). In the same spirit as the supermarkets: Spartan décor; order and pay upfront at the cashier's; reasonable pricing (except for wine). This used to be THE place where to get cheap French food in Singapore. It has since been surpassed on all fronts by the Saveur chain, which has similar pricing, but offers more convenient locations, service, and most importantly, more diverse and better-quality good.

Had been wanting to come here for a long time, with many reviews raving about how the duck confit ($22) is good and affordable. So it was no brainer for me as to what to order. Duck confit was crispy on the outer layer and tender in the inner layer, going well with the sauce. Hmmm, saveur is still more affordable though (and you get mushrooms there too?). But, the potato gratin here was good and was of a much bigger portion! The cheese wasn't overwhelming (perhaps because it was served hot and everything was still gooey and fragrant), but the cheese in the crabmeat pasta ($19) was (*holds up nose*)! And I would have preferred the pasta to be in chilli crab sauce than tomato sauce. There are better chilli crab pastas around. So, just stick to the duck confit for this place #burpple #burpplesg #lapetitecuisine #hsbcentertainersg #entertainersg
