FatCat has been making waves in the local creamery scene with their Gourmet Waffle: charcoal waffle with salted egg yolk sauce that seems to go with just about everything, and their popular Butter Beer Ice Cream. The buttermilk waffles here are crisp, light and airy. The Butter Beer Ice Cream will delight those who love beer, with its strong flavour. If you're not a fan of beer, opt for Watermelon Soju or Hay & Honey! They also do interesting plated desserts like the Banana Nutella (pictured) and Tarte Au Citron (brandied Cherry Sorbet, cherry gel, crumble, laksa leaf meringue, lemon curd and yogurt gel) that vary daily, with limited servings.

Constantly-packed Sunday Folks gives all an indication of just how popular their waffles and soft serve ice cream have become. Creamier's signature square waffles are now topped with a swirl of soft serve that comes in their most popular flavours -- Earl Grey Lavender, Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Roasted Pistachio. You can also choose to enjoy your soft serve swirl in a handmade cone, and choose from an assortment of toppings like matcha nama chocolate, Japanese mochi and fresh fruit. Be sure to complete you experience with a hot cuppa. Tip: you want to have your camera ready before your waffles/ cones are served!

FIX, a brand new cafe opened by the people behind GRUB, brings you the naanwich. These signature naan/sandwich fusions come with a variety of fillings like chicken tikka, smoked turkey ham & cheese, and even beef & kimchi, all nicely wrapped in soft naan and served with a side of cheesy nachos. Be sure to try their range of desserts, which are all made in-house. Located at HomeTeamNS @ Balestier, you'll even get to enjoy good food with a poolside view. Not too shabby.

This brand new cafe was converted from a 56-year old provision shop. I like its open air concept as it makes for a refreshing change from living 24 hours in air-conditioned surroundings. The robust coffee served here is a special blend of three types of beans from Dutch Colony & Co. A must-have, assuming it is not out of stock, is the light-as-air Japanese Cupcake. Topped and also filled with a floaty whipped cream, eating the cupcake felt like I was enjoying puffs of cloud! There's even complimentary sweets that you'll recognise from our childhood sitting neatly on the counter. Just because it's so near home :) Came here with a friend after breakfast @ the famous Beo Crescent curry rice - not a bad way to unwind and while away the Sunday morning. Just realised all the cakes here are from Maple & Market (look familiar, don't they?)

Char siew is fatty and delicious! Soya chicken is tender and soft. Overall experience is ♥

Whether you're an avid cyclist or not, there is bound to be something for you to love here - the vast wide space, the rustic warehouse setting that resembles an aircraft hanger, the cool serene indoor chillax space, bicycles and gadgets for sale, a small menu of food... lovely themed cafe, tucked away yet not quite inaccessible ;)
