From Sarah's The Pancake Cafe. Local infusions are like the in-thing these days; and it seems that Chendol is one of the most common dishes to transform. Served in crepe form, each pancake comes with multiple layers of thin crepe-like layers; each filled with a generous amount of red bean paste, which is not too cloying sweet. Drizzled with Gula Melaka, the pancake is drenched with a wee bit of coconut sweetness, though it would be better if its thicker as much of it got covered off by the red bean. Coconut ice-cream gives it a sweet, cooling and refreshing twist, while corn gave it a dash of savoury. Like it that they included atap chee in this modern twist; an ingredient usually forgotten in other fusion variants of Chendol.
Been on the menu for a while and I finally get to try it.
The kaya and butter makes a good combination. However, I am leaning towards the former PB & J French Toast. I missed you Peanut Butter and Jam.
Pillows of chocolate and caramel mouse on a chocolate biscuit-cake base, surrounded by buttery crumble and adorned with berries. A bigger portion would've been nice.
Rich chocolate fudge with a crunchy peanut butter base, topped with tiny chocolate balls and fruits. This was recommended by the waitress who likes peanut butter. Strong peanut butter taste indeed but we all preferred the Mont Blanc.
Unique. Give it a try!
Always room for dessert! :))))))
