Best Pancakes In Singapore

Best Pancakes In Singapore

Developed this love for pancakes since the start of JC shall spare people of the cliche story but they r IMO food items that can turn that frown upside down!! At a more practical level: satisfy that grueling hunger pangs aft waking up late aka having brunch/share for tea or desserts (in reference to huge portioned pancake items) Some think that pancakes can be too filling but I say share it if u can't finish it cause they r too good to be left out And honestly I believe they r nutritious too right (I mean eggs and milk *close one eye to the butter/oil but everyone needs some fats anw*) For me good pancakes means tasty batter, moisture and thickness can vary but the the taste of the pancakes is da key to my heart~ Another important factor would also be what the pancakes come w ie. berries, banana, (ice-)cream, ricotta cheese (ooo amazing addition for a rich and satisfying brunch), syrups (& honestly I am still skeptical of the term "fluffiness" to rate pancakes? How do u determine fluffy in the first place? How do u gauge how much the pancake rises because of the rising agent often incorporated into the batter? What if some pancakes don't even have rising agents haha r they then called hot cakes? Will someone of greater knowledge enlighten me) Anw here's just my humble slightly lacking opinion of my various pancake experiences & more to come:

Belle ville was on my wish list for far too long and thankfully the eggy thin pancake stacks that disintegrated easily were a pure joy. First proper recollection of Japanese styled pancakes and I personally enjoyed it ✨

Reminded me of McDonald’s hot cakes only with pandan flavouring. I’d get 2 slices of cakes instead for the same price; the peanut butter cheesecake we had was good.

Oh look at the resplendent thick golden brown pancake stack that spent a good 20 minutes sitting in the oven (as the cafe personnel educated us). Emblazoned by classic ingredients of berries compote or the more indulgent version of butterscotch bananas, vanilla ice cream; both were excellent examples of good brunch pancakes.
Definitely a signature here at Atlas, that keeps the crowd coming back for more (as I observe while waiting for our table given it was a P.H.).

Remember my first strictly pancakes experience during JC days and in a flash of 5 years the establishment will bid its goodbye on the 28th June (last day of operations).
Came here to witness a full house, thankfully I made reservations. Despite that we had to wait awhile for these pancakes but it was bearable especially because of my dining companion I haven’t met in awhile.
I will remember strictly for their interesting take(s) on savoury pancakes and comforting sweet ones. While the consistency of my favourite food here varies, their variety have always appealed to me and I genuinely hope to see something from them in the future.

If you'd allow me to be seen as a pancake aficionado; this was a no brainer classic combination of berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries) and vanilla ice cream on a hot off the pan-pancake with ricotta nuggets.

Better pancakes in Singapore? For sure.

Not sure it's a "fortunate" error or intentional but the charred rims of the pancake added a nice crisp to the browned bed.

I wish I wish.... that all cafes could be as affordable as refuel!! (8.50$ nett) for their signature stack of 3 pancakes- accompanied by outsourced vanilla ice cream and a viscous salted caramel sauce.
Definitely on the "Better pancakes in Singapore" list!
I so want to come back for more i.e. other brunch items, yet I foresee a tough dilemma between these no-brainer delicious pancakes. Yarmsss 🥞

Late party here finally tried the hotcake plastered everywhere on Instagram and whatever social media outlet you can think of!
After a 30 minutes wait, a work of art was presented on the table. The thick dense hotcake won my heart over with one bite. The crust like cornering and perfectly cooked hotcake deserves all the good praises it gets. A good pancake/hotcake is one that taste good on its own and this definitely superseded that benchmark.
Not a fan of the seeds toppings but that's just me, would I come back for more hotcake goodness? Without a doubt.

I see having brunch as a treasured luxury, so it made me very happy when my brother decided to take me out for brunch today before an afternoon of studying and driving lesson! Adding on to that joy was a reasonably priced brunch fare at a unique scientific-ly themed cafe that takes pride in their fruits garnish and juices. Fresh fruits lab serves some good egg bens and decent pancakes! My brother was all for the egg bens, going on about how he'll definitely come back for more.
For me, the crust edges of the stack of 3 pancakes were delightful, however the incorporation of berries within the batter could have been omitted as it made the middle mushy. Overall worth an order especially when the pancakes were still good on its own without the syrup! Definitely hope to be back to try their other mains!

I'll give the chef credits for ensuring these thick hotcakes were cooked! But other than that pancakes that would not go on my pancakes list because 1. It didn't look like a work of art 2. Taste wise: nondescript.. Maybe the unconventional shape of hotcakes (that reminds u a little of a soft, moist and dense muffin) might impress some but not me! Parmesan cheese truffle fries were overwhelming too with the poor fries that did not leave us going "you can't stop at one".. (In fact we stopped after a few bites) The buttermilk scone look appetizing and tasted great when served freshly heated, but after it cooled there was a floury aftertaste to each bite which was rather unpleasant. NTS: You don't have to dine at jones just because Dad wants to get his cheese..

Nothing like starting the day with a pretty plate of pancakes 😊 would suggest a request for an extra portion of maple syrup as the pancakes here were a little too dry IMO but the honey butter (yellow scoop on the middle) was interesting! The whipped cream helped with adding moist to the pancakes but was not enough to cover all 3 pancakes! Nonetheless relatively affordable pancake option at $11.80++

$12 nett this is definitely on my best pancakes in SG list! Stack of thin buttery pancakes (that were slightly savory I'm guessing salted butter here) went amazingly well with vanilla bean ice cream and affogato sauce! If that doesn't sound drool-worthy think melted marshmellow complementing a coffee based sauce and buttery pancakes..... just..... get this already!!!

Eat to live, live to eat. Alternating between the 2 all day err day?
