Cafes To Go | Brunch And Brew
Dish 1 of stop 1 for the Tasty Tastemaker Tour. I have heard good things about this dish that had been raved by many who have had it before and was really looking forward to having it. Certainly not disappointed on how it turned out; runny scrambled eggs (an add-on that is highly recommended at $3 on top of the original price, umami sautéed shimeiji mushrooms in cream stop sourdough with shaved Parmesan, it's that dish you had always been dreaming about for breakfast when you wake up on weekends which made it totally apt for being the first item to be dished out on the tour.
Two Eggs (Scrambled), Pork Sausage, Bacon, Roast Potatoes, Grilled Tomato, Sautéed Mushrooms, Yorkshire Pudding, Gravy
Creamy Mushrooms with Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast 🍄🍳🍞 ($12 for mushrooms & toast + $3 for the eggs)
Sounds pretentious but HAWT DAYYUUMMM this was delicious. Can't be that healthy, being so creamy, but seriously, I enjoyed every bite of this.

After a long weekend, let's start the day with a good breakfast.
The waffle was a sweet, soft and submissively mellow canvas for the juicy chicken, but ultimately the stack was, in Merlion terms, more Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 than Sentosa in both stature and pomp. 3.4/5
P.S. Did they name the cafe after a Miss Chng?
There are days for sinful indulgences, and then there are days to treat your body to something clean (and tasty, of course). Tiann's is a refreshing addition to the burgeoning café scene, serving gluten-free savoury waffles, cakes and freshly-pressed juices in a calm and relaxing environment. Enjoy a Roasted Squash Feta Waffle (half waffle at $9.60, whole waffle at $15.80) packed with pumpkin, chia seeds and pine nuts. Get a table under the glass roof to enjoy streams of natural light in this minimalist space as you sip on a refreshing cup of Raspberry Apple cold-pressed juice ($6.80). Bring a book, this is the perfect space for some "me" time.
Just minutes away from Kembangan MRT Station lies family-run Birdie Num Num Gastrobar, a convenient laid-back neighbourhood hangout that serves simple, honest café-style fare. Go for the Miso Cod ($15.90) that brims with Japanese familiarity – a lovely miso-marinated cod sitting on rich, cheesy risotto. For a no-brainer option, go for Birdie's Burger ($15.90), a beef patty loaded with melted cheese and bacon. This is one of those casual spots you’d be grateful for, a place in your neighbourhood where you and your friends can knock back a few and have a good time.
Surprisingly good ABC sandwich @the.daily.press

hulk approved pesto risotto from wheeler's yard. but why so little love for awesome plate of vegetarian grub? granted the arborio rice is al dente but bordering tough that day, it lends a lovely texture amidst the molten basil pesto sauce. and so so many button mushrooms! freaking quite divine to me actually!
Singaporean's Guide To Ulu Café Hopping
Price Range: $5-$8

Great lighting to snap its interior fittings & order numbers made of marble. If DSTLLRY's darkness holds weeping & gnashing of teeth, Hoopla is a piercing light strike array.
Food:
1) Lemon Tart [$4.50]
Impressively thin, but dry & unfresh.
Not a big fan of sunflower seeds but they did add a bit of crunch.
2) Red Velvet Tim Tam Cheesecake [$7.00]
Another case of looking better than it tastes. Cheesecake was rather one-note & lacked acidity to brighten it up. Also pretty dry & unfresh.
I have much love for Hoopla, with a prior pleasant experience, but perhaps come on a Monday when the cakes are hopefully closer to their production date?
Come Here: Never (for cakes).
