Macaroni Tossed in Yummy Triple Cheese Sauce, Topped with Crispy Breadcrumbs Baked till Golden Brown.I love the fact that the sauce was a good consistency. Thick, Creamy, Velvety and Cheesy. Pasta was al dente. Overall I give it a 7/10.

Another dish worth trying is the "Krusty Krab" Benedict ($19.50). Golden Crabcake Pillow with Chipotle Aioli, Crispy Bacon, Grilled Asparagus, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise Sauce on Toasted Brioche Bread with Side of Baby Green Salad. Spicy Sweet Crabcake, Crispy on the Outside and Soft in the Inside accompanied with the Creamy Buttery Hollandaise Sauce and Toasted Bread was a perfect combination. Overall I give this dish 8/10.

A dish you should stay away from is the Truffle Fries ($9.50 for small). Fries were like Soggy(?) Maybe cause they are Handcut. Truffle taste was like not present while the taste of Garlic was strong. Feel like they should rename it to Garlic Fries instead. Overall I give it a 4/10.

Exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. Delicious food, nice ambiance, reasonable priced. Fine dining at very reasonable and affordable price. 👍👍👍

Smoked eggplant served on freshly baked sourdough ($11). Highly recommend this (also suitable for vegetarians), do note that limited seating is available and seating is all outdoors.

Before I go on to say anything else - if you find that you’re at the right block but don’t see the restaurant anywhere, head to the BACK of the building. #learnfromjean

You’re at the right place once you see "Malcolm Bistro" - guess it’s a day/night-Jekyll/Hyde situation. The restaurant does serve lunch and dinner service, but reservations have to be made in advance, and according to the staff, dinner is an exquisite 7-8 course meal. For afternoon tea time, they were serving gruyere gougeres (cheese puffs) and smoked salmon brioche at the time.
:
The tea menu is pretty simplistic, listing just the categories (white, green, oolong, black) without further description. I went with white, and found out later during the staff’s introduction later that it was royal white peony. As you can see, the set up is elaborate. The staff pours the hot water over the leaves in circular motions (think coffee pour over style), and the tea is left steeping for about 4 minutes before it gets drained into a kettle below. The kettle is then moved to a stand above a small candle flame which keeps the tea warm. However, one thing that annoys me a little is that they only serve the first brew batch, and dispose of the leaves after. I should take a serious tea appreciation course to find out if that’s really a legit move. In any case, it was a sweet fragrant tea with mild floral undertones.

You will find multiple cheeses all over, and I can guarantee that the greatest cheese dish lovers will indeed love this. Despite the cheese overload the sandwich does not get jelat at all.

The sandwich is also huge, so it is surely sharable if you're not feeling too hungry! Served with rockets that I can only wish had more vinaigrette drizzled over and peppers that surprisingly (coz I don't like peppers - more #fussyfoodiefacts) contributed a mild zestiness and sweet crunch to the dish, this is great to have if you're hanging around Tai Seng or Macpherson.

Quaint and homely, Prodigal Cafe is the ideal space to go to for chill vibes around the neighbourhood and quality comfort food to enjoy!

With exposed ceilings and long wooden benches, this Muslim-owned cafe in Tampines West Community Club oozes casual chic industrial vibes that are perfect for lazy weekend brunches. Bonus points for their friendly staff! Visit for the Butcher's Daughter ($14), a dish that's available only on their weekend brunch menu (9am-5pm). Expect a generous piece of seared sous vide steak cooked to your preferred doneness, served with scrambled eggs and fries on the side. The Burpple community loves how juicy and tasty the meat is; the fluffy eggs and spot-on crispy fries are a happy plus! While you're here, consider ordering the Spiked Muddy Espresso ($6.50) that comes sweetened with gula Melaka.

This is now my man's favourite treat. Almond meal and dill crispy casing, flaked salmon and an oozing eggy center...))))))

This is exactly what $60 affords you at The Botanist. This quaint set-up delivers what I would describe as one of the more exceptional brunches in Singapore. The fried brioche in the French Toast dish is on fleek, being superbly crisp. The ice cream and berries just makes the whole dish ideal for the gram. As if that isn't enough to win you over, the slow coked beef cheek with truffle mash was perfectly cooked with the beef being adequately tender for the lazy morning chewed. On top of that, the folks at The Botanist definitely meant it when they said truffle mash. My friends and I cleaned up every dollop of that truffle goodness and no, I'm not exaggerating. Having saved the best for last, the corn-fritters are definitely my favorite. In fact, it's been the only constant that I've had in all my past 5 visits here. It's almost on par with the corn fritters I've had in Melbourne and mind you, that says a lot. All in all, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this relatively new establishment. Ps- these 3 dishes are enough to fill up 4 average eaters.

The nicoise salad, generous portion of protein (tuna), greens, cherry tomatoes, olives, avocado, potatoes w mayonnise. Yes i admit, it can be healthier by changing to a lighter dressing. Definitely a filing lunch that kept me full for 5-6 hrs. Salt and pepper at the side for customers who need some extra taste. Sgd17 no svc chg. They can improve on service turnover as well

The tender fried chicken and fluffy pancakes delivered with FedEx levels of competence, but the headliner here is indisputably the chye poh-esque chilli, which presents a riotous carnival of flavours - from sweet and seedy spicy to saliva-teasingly tangy - that will run the real risk of you having insufficient chilli for the titular items due to you being so stalkerishly addicted to that wicked nectar. 3.9/5
