🤤 Here're some of the other staples (available at all outlets) that I REALLY loved; the ✨beef bulgogi kimbap and ✨personal pot army stew! The former is essentially your maki-style rice roll, with seaweed wrapped around tender bulgogi slices that are surprisingly umami & well-seasoned!! And the latter is simply a must-get alongside the chicken - the spicy soupiness somehow manages to balance out the fried goodness while preempting your taste buds for the next bite of chicky!! What sorcery is this?!

Of course, the best way to end a meal is with DESSERT! The ✨soft serve here is - and I quote the bird outside my window - CHEEP CHEEP CHEAP!!!!! $1.80 for a refreshing tower of minty iciness perched atop a crisp charcoal cone? I'd take this over creamier any day. Let me just reiterate that it's a CHARCOAL cone (not just tinted black) with the full-on granular texture and charred flavour. Make sure to get your tongue on the limited mint flavour before the season ends!!🍃

Just last week I was bemoaning the lack of puffed tacos in Singapore and surprise, surprise, guess what I found? U got it, PUFFED TACOS! 😍 Unexpectedly, these can be found at the @redtailbarbyzouk pop-up; these miniature bites come with a crusty exterior that perfectly complements the moist, glazed shreds of beef within...guzzle them all down while they’re still hot & crispy!!🔥

And tho initally dizzied by the limitless array , I made up my mind to begin with my favourite dish:
✨@ramen_keisuke 's Lobster Broth Ramen!!😍 And ya - b4 you even ask - it DOES live up to expectations, even if it's just the "tasting" portion from a lil' pop-up stand!! The moment your tongue touches the broth, it's a full-on umami mouthgasm from the thick, silken and rich brininess👅💦 Almost like the essence of an entire lobster is encapsulated in each gulp. Oh, AND don't skimp out on the Ajitama with its oozy-goozy hellfire-orange yolk!!

No Singapore food fest is complete without a contemporary version of our national dish, i.e.: CHILI CRAB🦀 We're lucky enough to have TWO variations, and I must say,✨ @caskandbangers 's crispy Waffle Fries & Chili Crab Dip really stole my heart. Unfortunately for my tablemates, I picked 'n' dipped till my hand grasped thin air and i realized...oops, I'd eaten everything😂

Well, idc if you're bursting from the mad ramen carbs, you gotta make space for ✨@swissotelmerchantcourt 's KB Pao w/ Pork Floss (as if there isn't already enough 🐷-goodness)!!! The meat is oh-so tender, it's like biting into a weightless cloud that melts into complex, intermingling flavours that linger on your tongue😍 Aiya, now i regret just getting one portion!!

🤤As a tribute to this stunning land with sights, sounds and smells that are too surreal to be true, here’s something uniquely Canadian: poutine(I.e.: loaded fries😍)!! At this humble eatery that has won multiple competitions and comes recommended by locals, you get a generous portion of crispy hand-cut fries doused in a thick peppery brown sauce interspersed with - what I personally love the most - locally sourced CHEESE CURDS!! If that doesn’t sound epic enough, you can add on MORE goodies (which is what we simply had to do) like sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions, the latter of which added some sweetness to the whole dish. No doubt, I t’s the kind of comfort food you’ll dig into after a whole day of exploring in 10 degree weather!!😋

Tough meat, too much bone, gamey flavor...what’s there to love?? The ✨half goose at Yung Kee therefore SHOOK my world!!! Though admittedly, goose IS firmer than duck and definitely gamier, Yung Kee manages to strike a balance between all these characteristics, thereby playing up the essence of goose without overwhelming one’s senses. Their ✨signature char siew is equal parts astounding and stunning - the entire cut is doused in a thick, sticky-sweet glaze that highlights the savoury char of the meat!! In fact, I reckon the glaze itself is infused with the charred flavor?! Try it to believe it!!😍

🤤"My gawd this is the best sammich EVER." -Me when I had their Cubano a few months back, but it's clear now that I was nothing more than a naive simpleton...'cuz their ✨Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich is THE best sammich EVER. Like for real this time!! Behold the cross-section of this multidimensional patty, with slivers of fat and juicy, tender sous vide thigh meat intimately melting into one another without restraint. The crackly coating of batter is immaculately seasoned, existing only to amplify the natural flavors. And as if the patty isnt titillating enough, they've added some cabbage slaw - redundant IMHO, given how moist the patty is - and spicy mayo sauce, which admittedly adds a nice subtle kick. Their ✨Patty Melt is also a crowd favourite and I can see why - you get an epic cascade of cheddar lava upon separating the two halves! However, the beef patty turned out a little too dry for my liking and the overall combination just reminds me of a slight above-average cheeseburger. Honestly though, on a whole, PBD has changed the sandwich game in SG and I'll definitely be there to witness their next collab!!

🤤There’s no stopping at one -legend has it that a petite young girl once downed 20 bowls of these noodles...yes, it’s just THAT good!!! Even at $1, you can mix and match to your heart’s desire; for the soup base, choose either their Thick Thai Herb (incredibly creamy and silken, almost like a tonkotsu broth) or their Tom Yam (which packs a spicy kick) and pair it with a variety of meats like pork slices, beef balls, chicken slices, etc.!! As part of their anniversary promo, their ✨Crispy Pork Belly is also a major steal at $6.80!! 3 generous layers of 🐷, complete with airy and crackly skin. Seafood lovers will enjoy the ✨Crispy Soft Shell Crab w/ Cheese Web - we were lucky to get a lightly battered crab that was PACKED with roe!! Add on nacho cheese and you get the ultimate junky treat that will please all ages. But the ultimate highlight for me was their ✨Pork Skewers - generously glazed and oh-so juicy, each stick carries an authentic flavor that is true to its origin as a local delight from the streets!!😍

Do pop by and give their Thai cuisine a try when you’re in the area! Though small, they don’t compromise on quality - owner Dexter (@leiseng ) personally nabbed the chef from Thailand😂 So rejoice knowing you can get authentic Thai food at wallet-friendly prices!😋 .
