To celebrate Singapore’s 54 years of independence, White Restaurant has recently launched its seasonal Mala White Bee Hoon. If you are a Mala and Bee Hoon fan, I would strongly suggest that its a must to try the mala white bee hoon (small- $9.80++) as it is cooked using the flavourful broth infused with White Restaurant’s Mala receipe.
Personally, I feel that the spicy level is just perfect for me, and the mala fragrance is not too overwhelming, while it retains the flavourful broth of the original white bee hoon.
In order to ensure the consistency and to maintain the standards of their dishes, only freshest ingredients are used in the food preparation. The ingredients are cut in the central kitchen to ensure consistency amongst all outlets.
The signature meat & seafood roll ($13.80++) is another must order item, and it pairs well with the bee hoon! If you would like to enjoy it at home, frozen packed version are also available for purchase and you can just simply thaw & fry it and you will get to satisfy your craving for heizhor at anytime!
Time to head down to any White Restaurant outlets to try the plate of Mala White Bee Hoon and do note that it is only available for a limited time period!

Thank you @whitebeehoonrestaurant for the invite & warm hosting!

Recently visited Lam’s Kitchen to try its signature abalone’s noodles ($7.30), located along race course road.
Personally, I find that it is worth a try with a bowl filled with springy mee pok, three bite sized abalones, minced meat and fried fish ball. Not forgetting my favourite ramen style egg.

Featuring the Straits Nyonya Laksa with Soft shell crab ($18.90++) from Colonial Club, a restaurant that serves hainanese style western food and nyonya cuisine and our local dishes.

Personally, I am a fan of soft shell crab and laksa, this dish just simply caught my attention when I saw it at people’s posts. The laksa gravy was rich and fragrant! However, personally I would prefer it to go purely with the laksa bee hoon rather than the yellow noodles.

Nevertheless, it’s still worthwhile trying and visiting Colonial Club for a wide spread of mouthwatering dishes! Merry Christmas to all. 📍Changi Airport Terminal 3 Building

One of my favourite chicken glutinous rice is located at Bendemeer Food Centre. It has been months since I last had this and I am still always satisfied whenever I eat this.

I would say that the glutinous rice ($1.80) 给了我一个家的感觉. The siew mai ($0.50) each is also shiok! 📍Bendemeer Food Centre

[Invited Tasting] Thinking of where you would like to settle your dinner this weekend? Time to visit shiok ave! Shiok Ave sells yummy burgers and snacks at affordable price. Personally we have tried the following items from their menu:
🍽 Salted Egg Burg ($8)
🍽 Fish & Chips ($8)
🍽 Bananuggets (3 pieces for $4, 5 pieces for $6)

Personally i like the fish & chips. Its unlike the others out that is quite floury, there is actually substantial amount of fish meat within the fried fish. Also, the staff is quite generous with the mayo and cheese! 😋

Whereas, for the burger, i love the salted egg sauce, its not too salty and that the sauce actually reminds me of mooncake’s salted egg taste!

In terms of the fries, personally i feel that its a lil salty for me. But i guess it is my own personal preference? Different people have different salt tolerance level and some may like it.

Nevertheless, i have certainly enjoyed the burger and fish & chips and not forgetting about the bananuggets that actually reminded me of goreng pisang 🍌 , the fritter is golden crispy and the banana was sweet and it kinda has the melt in my mouth kind of feeling!

A big thank you to @shiokave for the invite to share with us the yummy food😋!

Happened to pass by Old Airport Road Hawker Centre on a Friday morning and decided to try Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee. 新美香卤面 is a lor mee stall listed in the michelin guide. It is one of the best non-fried crispy fish lor mee that I have tried. I particularly liked the lor mee’s gravy, I guess they have their own secret recipe for the gravy that makes the lor mee tasty. Also, the stall is generous with the amount of shredded fish and braised pork given in each bowl of lor mee ($4). I guess i was lucky as I only have to queue around 20 minutes to get the lor mee. I will certainly revisit the stall again when I have lor mee craving again.

Do introduce if you know of any yummy lor mee! 📍 Old Airport Road Hawker Centre

It is definitely one of the better kolo mee which I have tasted thus far. A simple bowl of happiness can just be found around the neighbourhood at Bendemeer Food Centre.

Personally, I love the texture of the kolo mee, as it was springy and the noodles were not overly or undercooked. The stall owner was pretty generous with the ingredients, the noodles was topped with minced meat, char siew, fried crispy wanton and it comes with a tiny bowl of wanton soup. It taste pretty good by adding some chilli to enjoy the noodles! 📍 Bendemeer Food Centre

The sesame chicken chop in the menu caught my attention and I have decided to give it a try. Without high expectation of it, the sesame chicken chop ($6.50) kinda amazed me and exceeded my expectation.
Firstly, the chicken was tender, juicy and fresh. The sesame sauce is specially prepared by the stall owners and it taste good together with the grilled chicken. The thick cut fries was crispy and filled with rich potato, it feels shiok mixing some of the sesame sauce with the fries. The garden salad was refreshing and appetizing.
Overall, it was worthwhile queuing for their western food. Definitely gonna try their other items in the menu in the future when i revisit changi village hawker centre again! 📍 Changi Village Hawker Centre
