The ingredients are certainly fresh, the service impeccable, and you can have a very good omakase meal here, but this is the least favourite among my top sushi restaurants in Singapore. Compared to the two Shinji’s, Ashino, Kisho, Kimura, the dishes are much less diverse. I have a bias against 2-Mich-star Shoukouwa, where we had horrific service.

Tried the $20.80++ spicy ramen with everything. Quite yummy with unusual flavours. The onigiri, on the other hand, was a disaster. Friendly service, albeit not proactive.

The service is very attentive and the food is not bad. The problem is you can have food that is equally good at joints which look as pedestrian as Mikuni but which charge two-thirds the price they charge here. Popular with conservative older clients, or financiers with a hefty entertainment budget.
Popular place, especially on weekends, because the lunch buffet is quite cheap and has lots of items. With the Entertainer 1-for-1 offer, it’s a steal. However, except for the decent sashimi, the other dishes range from pretty bad to really bad. Enthusiastic but overworked waitresses, due to understaffing.
Tried the new Ha-Oh outlet at Paragon. Good thing we came early, as there was a long queue afterwards, at one point reaching 30m to the Soup restaurant! The signature crab soup ramen is not crap at all. It is quite subtle and yummy, although the addition of sour cream was not a good idea, and the homemade noodles not springy enough to my taste. The other signature ramen - Iberico Shoyu - is good, but you’ve all had better ramen. Side dishes are average. The ramen bowls are kind of small for the price. So, overall, good but not good value, and a bit surprising they got a Michelin star in Tokyo. French inspectors must have been starved from jet lag.

Food is ok, service is poor for calibre of restaurant, prices are outrageous.
