Had a pleasant weekday dinner at Kucina, the antipasti platter had a great variety to taste a bit of everything. Portions were generous! Especially loved the mushroom crostini. Cannoli was really to end off the meal. It was a perfect balance of rich yet light! Will be back!

Enjoyed a nice lunch near sixth avenue station with friendly staff and so many meat options! The ribs were sooo tender, I picked the “Journey to the Yeast” because I thought marmite was an interesting marinate for ribs. The flavor was so complex and well infused!!

Strong Japan vibes during this travel ban!! It was a very pleasant date night to enjoy some Japanese food and very welcoming staff.

We had nicely done skewers - 5 sticks of the chef’s selection (chicken thigh, wings, meatballs, shiitake, bacon asparagus). The meatballs were super flavourful and juicy, definitely my favourite!

The sake looked really good, though we gave it a miss as we were driving. There’s a set menu for 2 pax that includes 180ml of sake of the week, we’ll come back for that another time!

Had a very enjoyable dinner! The place was cosy and the open bar concept meant we got to see our dinner being prepared by the chefs. It was really fun while waiting for our food!

The steaks were seared to a perfect medium rare. Opted to go without sauce to taste the full flavours of Denver and Deckle. The wagyu was well marbled and sooo flavourful.

Tried their halloumi salad - it was a grilled slab of cheese along with some grilled veges which were so tasty!! I’m not usually a huge fan of scallions nor baby corn, but these were amazing!! The tahini aioli paired very well too. Every component came together so well but each also being so flavourful on its own.

The bar seats were quite cosy and we got to see our drinks being made in front of us. The staff were also super friendly which makes the whole meal very pleasant!

Tried their Bak Kut Teh ramen that came with a generous portion of tender chashu and pork rib. The broth was rich and flavourful, spiked with familiar peppery spices of bkt with hints of garlic. It came with thin spicy noodles that gave just the right amount of kick.

My boyfriend ordered the green king with thick noodles, it was so well executed. The blend of basil and olive oil soup was super tasty - I’m coming back for a bowl to myself the next time!!

The staff was attentive and readily explained the menu and provided recommendations. There’s also a little basket under your seat to leave your bags which was super appreciated. All in all a good evening!

Loved the fusion items on the menu. Super satisfied with my meal here! Also, wines at $6/glass was hard not to say no to

We had a pork & seafood bite to start. It was a generous portion of their take on hei zou and a side of homemade achar, really impressive! Everything was well binded and well balanced.

The bak kut teh risotto was my favourite - A well-marinated, tender slab of iberico pork rib atop a bed of creamy and flavourful risotto, the kind that you’d go for, spoonful after spoonful. It had just the right amounts of pork and BKT flavours.

Ended our meal with a Teh-C. Tieguanyin ice cream with popping candy and chocolate pearls. The ice cream was pleasantly dense, milky, and rich without being at all gelat.

Definitely worth a try, and even more so a second visit to try out other dishes!

You’d think $12.80 for nasi lemak is mad but this plate is mad good!! Flavourful rice and ultra tender chicken leg. Not to forget the sambal giving just the right amount of kick.

They don’t take reservations and can be quite a wait at lunch time. However, on my weeknight visit, their dinner service had no queue. Well worth the wait, if any, I’d say.

P.s They make a mean chendol too ($3.80). I wouldn’t leave the place without one!!
