The undisputed star of this heritage restaurant. Some of their dishes are already very interesting - this is not only old school but delicious. Each piece is large, but the showstopper is the ginger sauce encased with it. Taste it and you know the kitchen is no pushover.

This is so super unique I've never seen waffles with coconut!! :O

Its such a tragedy that my gym is located at the top floor and I have to smell all the delicious food in Queensway Shopping Center just before I work out. But my curiosity was piqued by a coconut + waffle combination.

Freshly made to order, these pandan waffles were more of the thin and crispy type and was definitely less dense than I was used to. The shredded coconut flakes they used were the same as the one in their tutu kueh, infused with that sweet gula melaka which I am such a sucker for. They are super generous with it, perhaps justifying the $3 price point.

It worked surprisingly well; the pancake batter wasn't too sweet and allowed the gula melaka to sweeten up the waffle. The light pandan fragrance of the waffle and coconutty flavor went really well together. And the crispiness of it, in hindsight made the snack really light yet satiating without making me feel too bloated.

This curry dish with cauliflower and potatoes was very well done! Not too spicy, fragrant and flavourful - went well with our garlic naan!

Was initially worried that the steak might be tough or dry because of some photos I’ve seen but pictures are truly deceiving because the steak was really tender!! I was planning to go for a second slice but decided against it because one slice (which is also a huge one) was sinful enough for my tastebuds 👅 Their pork knuckle was also delicious and had crispy skin!!

The buffet didn’t have seafood unlike some of the reviews I read, not sure if it was because it was a weekday, but it still had a decent spread of food. I noticed there were many braised dishes which I wasn’t in the mood for, but the mashed potato was yummy!! I had a large serving and regretted not pairing it together with the steak because I think it would complement each other well 🥔
