Ordered seafood roll (1/2 crab 1/2 lobster)with two flavours, Maine-style and SG Chilli Crab. Maine-style felt a little bland, did not have a very strong taste, however, there were decent chunks of lobster, a good mix of both crab and lobster. Chilli crab flavour was good, but lacked the lobster bits, only had one small piece of lobster. The bun was super buttery and crispy on the sides yet soft, super good.
Truffle-Parm-Garlic fries was decent, strong flavour but wasnt hot nor crispy, definitely not worth $9. Overall worth it, the bun made up all the faults

Love it for its quality and sweetness of the seafood! The shop was pretty empty and i really encourage more people to go because the food is really worth it. Worth the price with the quality ingredient and definitely better than 'chunky lobster' which serves frozen lobsters

I’m struggling with this cause with the Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 deal this seafood roll’s definitely among the cheapest around; yet I can’t say it’s the most satisfying, or that I’d ever be willing to pay the full non-discounted price. Starting on a positive note, their Boston rolls are pretty fluffy and well-toasted so that’s a big hurrah, however I have to say they aren’t buttered well enough. If they look fabulously golden here...I’m sorry it’s just my photo edits. The rolls were also exceedingly thick, which means I’m really getting more bread than seafood in each bite — not the most ideal, but acceptable for its price point. As for the seafood: I’m glad there were actually discernible lobster claws in there, albeit small ones and pretty fresh as well, though the mushy shredded crab left much to be desired. What was most disappointing was the sauce. I picked the Maine sauce for this, which should remind you of the fresh tasting citrusy, mayo-y, light kinda dressing that really highlights the produce. Idk if they wrote “sauté” on the menu as a mistake, but it did seem that they cooked the seafood with the sauce, which resulted in a really heavy tasting filling and tough lobster meat. At $23 ie $11.50 with the 1-for-1 it was ok, cheap and yes fresh; but I’d never pay the full price for it.

The place was empty when we came in around evening time. Portion was generous. We ordered clam seafood soup as well, it wasn’t tasty. But the bread was fluffy and nicely toasted. The fries was yummy too. Spaghetti has a sweet taste. Overall, it’s value for money and it’s worth a try.

Me meeting my Dad for dinner on a Friday night aptly paralleled how Lobster met Crab in a Laksa broth— basically the same thing so you aren’t surprised they go well together.

We were here on a 1-for-1 deal and had 2 pastas that came with fries (one of which had parmesan truffle toppings) and a serving of seafood soup, as well as kaya and whiskey ice cream respectively. However, while the $53 we paid was a modest sum, it comes close to the number of minutes we waited for the food to be served. While this usually isn’t a problem understanding it is a Friday night, the kitchen took a gamble and prepared their batches of fries a few customers in advance. The dice were rolled, our fries were cold.

However, that didn’t stop me from enjoying the half Lobster, half Crab pasta. The rich Laksa broth really put the Asian in Crustacean, while the bits of crab and lobster in the pasta tasted like an anxious introvert— fresh out of its shell. The seafood soup though fragrant, did have hints of “food court” as the onions reminded me of chicken rice’s embarrassing friend— chicken rice soup. But dad loved it, and he’s the foodie.

Finally, to top off the spread we had for dinner, what better way than to end with dessert that, well, was also a spread— Kaya Ice Cream. This Nyonya treat tasted so good that it sent me into 小娘惹 territory, which I only thought of because it was almost 9pm by the time dessert had arrived. But I shan’t go in too hard on the kitchen given it was an admirable effort for 2 people in a kitchen the size of my toilet. Also, just like me in the toilet, these people really worked their butts off to put food in the bowl.

Jokes aside, it was a great meal, and it would be shellfish of me not to recommend this to my friends!

Checked out this place cos of Burpple Beyond and both my hubs & i were hooked! Tried their seafood rolls (½ crab ½ lobster) and love how warm and buttery the toasted bread is! A pity they didnt include the pure lobster roll under the 1-for-1 deal though - personally prefer the lobster meat to crab meat. Also tried their seafood pasta with seafood broth as well and i was blown away by the rich and tasty broth! Wished the pasta portion could be bigger though. Their regular prices are a little steep but the 1-for-1 deal made it really worth. Would revisit!
