$5. Accidentally discovered this while looking for Sushi Express (it’s replaced). At first when I saw this on the menu I thought it was pretty pricey but the pieces of salmon are relatively big. The mentaiko and Sriracha ones were not bad but the BBQ one was a bit weird haha

We visited magic touch based on a blog recommendation and it did not live up to its expectation. We were initially impressed by the miso soup and chawanmushi. The size of the raw food looks big and impressive. However, the raw fish were not fresh, and the sweet prawns has a fishy smell. The yellowtail sushi does not look and taste like it at all, as if it's a different fish. The menu was quite limited, and we gave up and left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied. Its quite pricey for its quality. We will not go back again.

We decided to try this new sushi restaurant conveniently located in CityLink mall. Food was average and not worth the price at all. We wouldn’t be coming back again.
Food aside, funnily enough I liked everything else - interior is very pretty and pink, and the ordering system was easy to use. You simply order directly from an online menu on your phone and the bullet train delivers it to you at your table. Minimal human interaction. I don’t think we spoke to any staff during the course of our meal. Perfect for introverts :P

We were initially very impressed with the generously thick slices of salmon sashimi that was offered and the batter of fried octopus! The seared salmon was nice as well.

However, the raw food was not very fresh - the raw ebi prawn had a ‘muddy’ aftertaste and the salmon did not taste fresh as well. The sushi rice used in the nigiri and don was also very sticky and mushy, and lacked that ‘mirin’ taste.

My friend and I both felt queasy after the meal, which also led to me vomiting a while later ☹️🤮🤮

It is tough starting up a business in this climate, genuinely hope that Magic Touch improves the quality of their food soon.

Skip this as the garlic butter unfortunately tasted off. Scallop itself was decent.

The salmon came in a pretty thick cut, but we weren’t really a fan of the sweet chilli sauce it came with on top. A pity that it was too overpowering.
