Both meats were very flavourful, roasted till tender. The siew yoke was crispy on the edges and chewy on the inside. Delicious! Pretty worth the walk into the ulu industrial area. I’ve not tried her sister’s version before but I enjoyed this one very much - my friend has tried both and she prefers Mei Mei’s. :P

We paid $11 for a plate of duck rice and a plate of charsiew + siew yoke rice, which is pretty reasonable for the quality. I heard that if you want better cuts, you’ve to come earlier.

We visited on a weekday afternoon and the coffeeshop was quite busy with the workers around the industrial area coming here for their lunchtime. We were just two people, so it was easy to slot ourselves in.

The owner was so sweet, she was serving with a smile - that made a great impression. :)

Not easy to reach this place even by MRT, you still need to walk a lot as it is located in the industrial area of Ubi.

This food court attract lots of people who working nearby, so be prepare if you coming during lunch time.

This stall was popular among them and you get to self service with their sliced cucumber and chili paste.

For $5 a plate of this, I must say it is smaller portion than I expected. But the taste is definitely worth the trip.

Roast Pork & Char Siew Rice, $5 from 𝗠𝗲𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗶 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀⠀

Heard that this is one of the best roast meats in Ubi so we decided to drop by to give it a try! Roast Pork has a crackling and crispy skin, fat to meat ratio was just right so it’s not very fatty and oily. Char siew was charred perfectly and has a mix of fatty and lean meat. The black sauce drenched over the rice and the meat, with some light sweetness! Indeed it’s a plate of shiok roast meats! ⠀

Roasted duck over rice with generous amount of gravy. The skin of the roasted duck is exceptionally crispy. The meat was not too tough. A simple meal for lunch

Mei Mei Roast Meat - roasted traditionally with charcoal, the duck sports a reddish-brown skin which had a hint of smokiness. The meat was full of flavour
