Trying this sorta new stall within the coffeeshop at The Woodgrove that serves western fare. Its operations style feels rather bistro-like; even allocated with its own seating area and is allowed to sell beer on tap alongside with the drink stall of the coffeeshop. Serving western dishes, pasta and Miso Ramen, they also serve Foie Gras as an add-on of $8 for most western dishes. This dish comes with beef cheek, grilled vegetables, truffle mash potatoes and natural gravy (just a normal brown sauce). Beef was a little gamey, but it was rather tender and pulled apart relatively easily so much you need not use a knife to eat it, while the mash was alright though with a little truffle aroma going on which I would prefer it to be a little bit heavier. Grilled vegetables also seemed to require a little bit of salt seasoning, though it works well with the peppercorns sprinkled along the sides of the plate; the grilled mushroom was totally on point with its springiness and earthy flavours however. At $13.50, there might be better environments to dine at but this works as a good place to hit and spoil yourself at if you live in Woodlands and just don't want to travel out of the neighbourhood for dinner.
