Their duck meat came in a huge portion by immediately disappointed upon trying to tear the meat. It was so hard to chew, not sure whether this is their preparing style or not. But the Friday special set comes with everything you need for the meal, including the choice of rice and drink for RM21.90.

Flaky, crispy, chewy and just the right amount of sweet and salty. They make it for you on the spot, like any other mamak place so it tastes quite fresh. Plus, 4 different sauces to pick and mix from and itโ€™s very instaworthy.

For RM14.90, you get ice lemon tea with the set. Choose between honey, curry, or fried chicken and then take your pick of vegetables. I got the fried chicken with no regrets! It was crispy and really tasty. Their teh tarik is also RM1 for an unspecified amount of time, so overall, a pretty good deal for a Pavilion location

Now this is a combination I would come back for again! I love the Yellow Rice (RM2.50) for how fragrant it is, and the Fried Squid (RM4) is crispy and juicy. The Fried Lady Finger (RM1.50) is unsuspectingly spicy so be careful with this one. As for the honey chicken; not too sweet and coats the chicken wing perfectly.

Though it says nasi lemak, itโ€™s actually nasi kandar at Nasi Lemak Ong. I chose white rice (RM1.50) as the base and on the side, tender and flavourful Curry Mutton (RM8), a boiled egg (RM1.50), Curry Eggplant (RM1.50) that I would skip on the next round as it was a little bland, and the refreshing Cucumber & Pineapple Kerabu (RM1.50) for something to help cut through the heavy spices. Everything was great.

It tastes and almost looks exactly like your typical maggi goreng. The bread is first cooked on the griddle and when it turns crispy, itโ€™s cut into small squares. Itโ€™s then fried together with all the ingredients found in maggi goreng โ€“ itโ€™s amazing how similar the two taste!

Made with charcoal powder, this roti tastes just like roti canai, with the extra colour. Itโ€™s crispy yet soft and the three curries and sambal given on the side go so well with it. My favourites are the sweet-spicy sambal and the rich fish curry.
