Chicken breast served with a pumpkin mash. Felt the chicken was a little dry and mash being too watery. New chapter used to be better.. sadly the quality is deteriorating.
The usual salad with corn, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and an egg with sesame dressing. Could do with a bit more variety.
This is RM14.
A bit disappointed that the Swiss roll was not fluffy and light. Not fresh perhaps. I like the macadamia cream. It wasn’t too sweet and there were bits of macadamia in it. If only it was fluffy...
This is RM13.
A latte with a nutty taste that isn’t overpowering. A change from the usual vanilla/hazelnut/caramel latte. It was a smooth latte but a bit too sweet for me. Might wanna ask them to lessen the sugar or syrup.
This is RM13.
Loved the atmosphere here! Weekends it might be crowded but during the weekdays it’s a good place to have a food and desserts and chat away!
Simply Egg-cellant. The outer layer is crispy, to the point where you could almost crack it with your knife. The mushroom paste was rich and tasty and the egg was warm and gooey. The vibe here is super chilled and the food is consistently good. This place is super packed on Sunday, so do drop by early to avoid the crowd.
SEA CATCH (RM 18) a tuna crossiant with waffles fries and salad
RED BOLOGNESE (RM 15) Bolognese spaghetti with a runny egg
HOT CHOCOLATE (rm12)
A sweet waffle with earl grey ice cream topped with bananas strawberries and nuts as well as coconut shavings . RM 16
Morning Glory | Breakfast set that come wit scramble egg, flaky croissant, chips and salad [RM16]
Eggs were perfectly scrambled. I loved the crispy, well seasoned criss cross fries. But croissant wasn’t flaky nor had a crispy crust. I would just stick with the waffles.
Aiko Mochi (RM21). Waffle filled with mochi, topped with lemon cream cheese, grapes, honey and pistachio flakes. This is a new addition to their waffle menu. I love the chewiness from the mochi, cream cheese was light and paired well with the waffle.
Peppermint chocolate (RM12). I thought I wouldn’t like this but I was wrong. Rich and creamy chocolate with just the perfect balance of peppermint flavour.
They do have a selection of cakes and a number of signature drinks - perfect for an afternoon tea.
Located in Calvary Convention Centre, New Chapter by The Owls Cafe has a bright and spacious look. Every corner of the cafe is Insta worthy with natural lights streaming through the windows. Visited on weekdays and weekends before and it’s always a full house. But not too long a wait on weekdays. Food was served pretty quick considering the crowd.
In frame: Rebecca (RM18) and Midori (RM21). Rebecca is a waffle filled with berries, bananas, almond flakes, maple syrup and earl grey ice cream. The earl grey ice cream was so fragrant and I just wanted more. The Midori is my must order on every visit. Matcha waffle topped with mandarin oranges, pistachio, earl grey and black sesame ice cream and red bean cream on the side.
SIDES》Spicy Mixed Fries : RM16 The combination is really good but it's really expensive (just for fries). Maybe that's the price you have to pay. 😒 8/10
MAINS》B.L.B : RM18 Croissant is buttery as described on the menu but not crispy enough. Would prefer if the dressing on croissant are done separately. But for the price and the size of the dish, is good enough. 6.5/10
Aglio Oglio Smoked Duck : RM21 Portion is really small for the price, taste is there however the doneness of the pasta is not on point. Def do not worth the price. 😔 5/10
BEVERAGE》Signature Special Ice Coffee : RM13 When you want coffee and ice cream at the same time, this is it. 8/10
The second cafe to come from the people behind Owl's, New Chapter measures up to the standards of its predecessor, also located in Bukit Jalil. Despite serving similar fare in the same area, there is no shortage of crowds for both establishments so we recommend you visit this bigger space. The casual, fun environment is good for groups; bring the gang! Share the Instagram-famous David (RM18) or Rebecca (RM18), or both — these waffles are made to please the eyes and satisfy the tastebuds. David is rich, with peanut butter, bananas and chocolate, whereas the more feminine Rebecca delights with fresh fruits and a winning earl grey ice cream. For drinks, a specialty Rose Latte (RM12) is the focus and like most things they have to offer, it is gorgeous. The cafe also recently introduced a Japanese-inflected dinner menu of trendy omurice (omelette rice) and dons (rice bowls) so in case you're not ready for the gathering to end, stay for dinner. Pro tip: Drive straight towards Calvary Convention Centre for the free parking.
Avg price per person: RM25

The first time I had Rebecca was at The Owl's cafe and it was so unforgettable. With a more spacious outlet @newchapterbytheowlscafe, it's still fully occupied and the waiting list is even longer 😨. However the quality remain unchanged. Yummeh!
Floral shaped waffles are covered in fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries and banana, giving off a vibrant color. Generously topped with a decadent variety of almond flakes, coconut flakes and maple syrup. It comes with a scoop of fragrant homemade Earl Grey ice cream, that can give Sunday Folks a run for their money!

This exquisite waffle comes with homemade vanilla ice cream and abundance amount of banana. Peanut butter cream and chocolate sauce are drizzled over, generously garnished with almond flakes, coconut flakes and toasted coconut flakes.
Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, this Belgium waffle will not dissapoint. Served with 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice (I had Earl Grey, YUMMY!), there's more than enough ice cream for each bite :)
