Poulet (Kallang Wave Mall)

Though the chicken was really savoury, I felt really thirsty afterwards. The chicken thigh was juicy but the breast was quite dry. The food was good and substantial, but I felt that it was really overpriced. Don’t think I’ll be back

When the French roast a chicken, sit up and take notice.

The chicken served here are all super moist and plump, and frankly it doesn’t really need much of the sauce because it’s already so flavourful. The cranberry sauce is slightly too sweet for me, but I do like the combination of the whole grain mustard to cut through the sweetness.

Oh the chicken is cooked to perfection and he sauce is delicious. Yumz!

The chick itself is nicely roasted with aromatics and tender meat, the sauce was just too sweet though and lacked the dryness of the White wine and also lacked earthiness from the mushrooms :)

Here at the french chain Poulet for the first time after seeing them sprout up almost every and anywhere around the island, trying their famous roasted chicken. The roasted chicken took me by surprise at its tenderness and the ease of which I was able to tear it apart simply with my fork and spoon and no knife. The meat fell off the bone really easily, and it was soft and juicy. The Mushroom Chardonnay sauce tasted more like thick cream, which made the already tender chicken less dry, however it was close to being rather 'gelat' and I had to stop taking it after a while. All in all, a decent meal at a decent price - encapsulating what I would consider as good casual dining.
