Light lunch and this is the Grilled Seabass cooked Donostiarra style (30 ++). Not sure what that style is despite asking, but it was succulent and well seasoned. The rice was tasty, if a little sweet, with sliced grilled garlic and caramelised onion well distributed within. Like other posts, the tomato bread is great and gone in an instant! Mussels overpriced for what is delivered; there are better value starters. Will be back to try the paella and the meat.

According to this menu, it took some 20 hours to cook this slab of meat on low heat before finishing it in some Josper Charcoal oven - and that’s probably what gave it that nice char and that nice charcoal flavour. And yes, It tasted as good as it smelled. But what I appreciated most was that the ribs were not smothered in BBQ sauce - instead they have the BBQ and Mustard sauce on the side - and that allowed me actually taste the natural flavour of the mildly seasoned moist and tender meat.

Generous portions of seafood with nicely done paella and ending with the yummiest socarrat (the crusty bottom) I’ve tasted! #burpple

Must try if you love beer.

Estrella Damm is a lager beer, brewed in Barcelona, Spain. It has existed since 1876, when August Küntzmann Damm founded his brewery in Barcelona, and is the flagship beer of S.A. Damm, a prominent brewery in the city. 

This was only alright. The churros were not very crisp on the outside and the inside was a little on the dense side. Probably better off getting something else.


I really enjoyed this - mostly cos I like all things egg. It was a nice density and the chorizo gave it smoky and salty flavours. Also, the toast and tomatoes that it came with was delishhh.
