We got attracted to the glistening duck skin (just look at that!) and caved in for a pack. Apparently, it takes 6 hours of prep and slow cooking, and that definitely showed through in the results! Tender with a good bite, the meat and skin were thoroughly marinated and we loved the sweetness and herbal flavours. Very worth the money and a much better option compared to a braised snack stall (just opposite I think, 東山沈鴨頭) selling mainly ducks.

Tried several braised snack stalls and only realised then that there are a few different types of preparation and cooking, so it's very much to one's personal preference which you'd prefer! I really liked the range of braised snacks from this stall at Ruifeng Night Market - choose your ingredients, they cut them up, sprinkle pepper seasoning and chili powder and you’re good to go! I LOVE konjac items and they had lots to choose from here. All of which were superbly seasoned with the best crunchy q texture. Please also give the noodles (科学面) a try and request for those crunchy pickled vegetables (榨菜)! The braised snacks here aren’t the kind that’s served hot but I can have this as a meal any day any time. SO GOOD.

Cos I'm all for this gimmicky shit I paid extra 30ntd for the 🦄 float on top of the 60ntd for the peach soda which was actually a lifesaver with this crowd and weather. Not too sweet!
However, the omelette was less flavourful and the red sweet sauce on top overwhelmed the taste of the omelette.
這攤的蚵仔煎比較薄，也比較多蛋。但是，煎蛋吃起來比較淡，上面的紅甜醬也覆蓋了其的味道。
This time we had the best #charcoalgrill #猪脚 #porkknuckle in the #RueiFeng #NightMarket in #kaohsiung. It's super #tasty and so #tender that it melted in our mouths quickly. And the #porkskin is so #crispy almost like chips!! Salivating now... 😝😝😋😋😋

We tried this #bbqoysters at the
#kaohsiung #RueiFeng #NightMarket and we thought that there will be a #bbq taste to it but not really, just that the oyster burst in my mouth when I ate it. Wondered what's the purpose of the BBQ then since we don't really taste it but nevertheless it's super #fresh!
The RueiFeng market is well known for the locals and significantly less touristy as compared to the LiouHe market and it's definitely huge!
Since #Christmas is a season of giving and love so eat more oysters as it is a #aphrodisiac!! 😍❤️❤️❤️ hahaha..

Pineapple prawns, one of our favourite. The batter was so light and crispy, prawns were fresh and crunchy and the slightly sweet-sour juicy pineapple gave a good contrast. Topped with summery orange sauce that went really well together! (1 for 70twd)
Actually saw this on a TV programme, and from the way they scooped, the Mochi looked amazingly q!! (It was so soft the TV host described it as sucking a baby's cheek which is the weirdest description but I guess it works) Sells out quite fast apparently. This Mochi is really super fresh bouncy and q with mild milky taste (actually a little on the bland side but the texture's good!!! not annoyingly sticky.) 5 flavours are available: chocolate, matcha, milk, sesame and peanut. 1 for 10twd.

An array of different flavored mochi. Homemade and looked really yummy. It's a huge ball as compared to many mochi I've had. This tasted bland and not enough coating. They were probably a little slack with the ingredients, thus making this promising mochi a failure.
