Super crisp and tender panko breaded pork loin, Japanese curry, rice and endless cabbage. So simple, so tasty.
Went in the morning. Food quality is just as nice as usual. However, disappointed because somehow even though I bought the set meal, the waiter did not allow for rice refills and no dessert was served. Not sure if it's because I came in the morning or because of the location... Not going back here again as I paid the same amount as other outlets yet received less.
True and sincere friends are hard to find. Deep fried, crispy [Breaded Pork Loin Cutlet Set S$25] - comes with free flow cabbage, free flow rice, miso soup and pickles. Happy food!
My favourite place for pork cutlet (tenderloin katsu) but I decided to try the assorted today and I really like all of it!! As usual, the crumbs were so light and crispy. I'd recommend this place if you'd like something that's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside ;)
Was recommended by colleague before heading off to Changi Airport for welcoming babyhub return to Singapore. Saboten is a japanese restaurant chain well known for their Tonkatsu. Saboten offers unlimited refill for rice, miso soup and cabbage!! After hubby touched down, we had our dinner here.. we were quite suprised with the special TOOL (i.e.small wooden stick) was given for grinding the sesame seeds. Give us a "wow" factor feeling.. Hubby and I like their dipping sauce.. And yay, v asked for another round of cabbage refill! 😁😄😍

First time having Saboten as a few of my friends told me its the best i could find in singapore.
The Pork Loin Katsu is pretty good! Very tender and juicy. Crispy on the outside.
The cabbage is great! Served cold. I dont eat veg usually, but this is so refreshing! Especially with the sesame sauce.
The service tho, was bad. Seems like they lack manpower. Took me 5mins to get my drinks refilled.
The food standard is good, no doubt. But i still prefer Imakatsu at Star Vista for the overall package of food and service.

It's a first for me having this combination. The cheese was thick, flowly.. reminiscent of a stuff crust pizza.! Batter was flaky and crispy.. Pork meat was pretty tender and easy to chew. I like it that they're innovative but unfortunately the overall taste is somewhat 'lacking' of oomph.! 7.8/10👌🏾
