The oxtail is a hearty, flavourful dish. The meat is coated in a rich savoury sauce, with a balance of sweetness from the carrot, celery and possibly tomatoes and red wine. As for the pork chop, the Hokkaido pork’s fat elevates the dish making it indulgently tender while the sauce adds a nostalgic comforting flavour - a perfect gourmet meal.

On a Monday evening, ambiance of the cafe is relaxing and cozy. Decided to have two of its Hainanese signatures. Hainanese pork chop is so good…crispy outside yet juicy and tender. It goes well with the onion tomato sauce which is tangy and sweet. Its fries perfectly fried, lightly salted and not oily. Oxtail stew, rich and flavourful. Its mashed potatoes, creamy in texture, absorbed full flavour of the oxtail. A satisfying dinner made completed with an aromatic cup of flat white.

Absolutely loveddd the food here. They had very good Hainanese pork chop and crispy, generous calamari. They had an interesting modern take on chicken rice as well, which came with crispy claypot bits. Good spread of wines as well, great for an easy lunch or dinner!

Delicious Hainanese Food in a cafe setting. Had a great time with the fried calamari and the Hainanese pork chop these are must eats if you come here. The sotong for a crispy explosion of flavour, and the juicy pork chop was super satisfying. Chicken rice was good, interestingly served with some chicken essence, but not a must order.

Visited Seng House for dinner with my partner and it was so worth the 1.5h transport 😱🤩👏🏻

The vibes were on point, with good lighting and good background music! It was so cozy 😌 The staff were very polite and friendly as well, which made the experience even better!

My partner and I were pretty hungry that night, so we got 2 mains, 2 sides and 1 drink 😅

Firstly, the drink!!! I would come back just for the drink alone. We got the Matcha Dream! It was a matcha latte with sweet potato cream and it was so good. I never thought that sweet potato would complement matcha latte so well!! We almost ordered a second cup but had to control ourselves 😂

We got the Hainanese Pork Chop and the Duck Confit Gnocchi for our mains. The Pork chop was done so nicely! It was soooo soft yet crispy, and so nostalgic. Everything from the batter of the pork chop to the fries were PERFECT. The duck confit gnocchi was so delicious as well! The meat was so soft which was a perfect pairing with gnocchi!

Lastly, we got mac & cheese and a crabmeat carrot cake for our sides. Mac & cheese had the right amount of salt and the crabmeat carrot cake was so unique. We were pleased with how much crabmeat was served! The wokhey was very prominent and so soft crabmeat paired the soft and bouncy carrot cake well 👏🏻

Definitely bringing everyone I know here! This is what I call a HIDDEN GEM 🤩 Can’t wait to be back!!

Visited Seng House on a weekday night and was impressed by both the cozy ambience and the food. We had the duck confit with gnocchi and asparagus. The duck was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and the gnocchi was surprisingly filling. The Crabmeat Carrot Cake was an absolute highlight, packed with crab, dried shrimp, and crunchy pork lard, all rich with wok hei.

Loved the side of house made chilli oil that added just the right amount of heat. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and indulgent, topped with a perfectly golden crust and fresh chives to cut through the richness. Everything was served in cast iron pans, keeping it warm till the last bite.

To round it off, we tried the Dream Matcha. Smooth matcha paired with sweet potato foam that blended beautifully. Creamy, earthy, and not too sweet.
