3.75⭐ WB received $20 Creative Eateries Birthday Voucher so we decided to have lunch at Siam Kitchen. We ordered a main each and paid $10 after utilising the voucher. The food is not bad but service is too slow. The pineapple fried rice was served after WB finished his tom yum soup and I even have to ask the server to check why it's taking so long.

Tried the Green Curry Chicken (~$15) and Tom Yum Curry Steamed Fish (~$30). Green curry was nicely spiced and coconut-y, and left some sweet undertones which might get a bit jelak after a while. Would gave appreciated slightly more chicken pieces, otherwise the curry went very well with their jasmine rice which was very pillowy and fragrant. Portion of the steamed fish was huge. The meat was tender and easily separated. Sauce came with a good amount of vegetables like brinjal, tomatoes and lady finger. The sauce itself was very flavourful, although the sourness of tomyum could have been enhanced.

Restaurant was not crowded at 12pm on a weekday, with ample space and nice atmosphere to have a relaxing meal and chat. Service was prompt. The dishes are good but in my opinion, did not justify their high price points. I would only return with the 50% discount!

First time dining at Siam Kitchen. The menu is authentic but the food is just decent and in my opinion I feel lack the usual Thai ommph factor. The dishes were just either too salty or too sweet and very oily. There wasn't much customers in the restaurant but the food took so long to be serve. Overall the food wasn't awful but I definitely won't be going back there again.

Tom yum seafood fried rice. Egg noodle with crabmeat and prawn. Pandan chicken.

Fried rice was tasty. Egg noodle was totally mee kia but with black pepper sauce. While pandan chicken tasted more like satay with a weird tomato mix sauce.
What's more funny is that their receipt is tallied in hardcopy with a manual calculator?? Haven't seen such old school shops in a shopping mall before!

#eatigosg (yay to 50% discount for 4.30pm seating)🍜 #burpple

This dish is absolutely satisfying. Satisfies my craving for pad thai all the time. Note that they have sugar, chilli flakes and peanuts at the side. You can decide how much of it you would like to mix in.. the prawn is fresh too, with a few slices of fish. The lime at the side adds in a refreshing taste to the whole dish!
