Now they launch three new flavours for its Fried Chicken Cutlet Rice- Original, Mala and Curry.
Crunchy skin with juicy chicken meat, served with the fragrant Hainanese chicken rice ball and in-house chilli sauce,
Beside the three new flavour, they also launch Hainanese Herbal Mutton Soup.
The soup is flavourful with a hint of herbal, served with chunks of mutton meat (not gamey), dried black fungus, beancurd and dried beancurd.
Little boss fav will be bite sized Chicken Rice Ball. It’s very crispy ( all the food I re heat using air fryer)
Meanwhile the Fish Head Curry quite lemak and roasted chicken tender n juicy.

Randomly tried this. The chicken was not bad. Good enough breast meat. The sides were terrible though. The fried tau kwa was tasteless and the greens were bitter. I loved the green ginger sauce. The chilli damn spicy, we barely touched the surface.

Another reason for me to come here was recently they introduced this interesting fried chicken rice ball.

Deep-fried to create this crunchy outer layer, while inside the rice remain moist and flavourful.

And it is pretty cheap for only $2.50 for 3 pieces.

Along the street beside Raffles Hotel, there’s this chicken rice specialty restaurant here; which is also serving some other tze char dishes.

But of course their chicken rice still being the spotlight here. Gotten their Hainanese chicken rice and it was smooth, though it wasn’t too extraordinary as compared to others.

Go for the individual set meal, which come with a side dish.

Tabao version for this period.
Consistently fragrant fluffy rice with signature roasted chicken.
Not bad at all.

Most basic single plate of roast chicken rice $4.50. Rice was slightly salty but the thick cuts of chicken meat was juicy and tender. Goes well with chilli and ginger sauce. Superb!

I tasted sort off sotong paste in the tau foo, quite springy thou it has been golden deep fried. I'd prefer this over to Zheng Swee Kee's Thai-style fried tau foo. Lovely!

While u could opt for a drumstick section without an additional charge to your set meal but they wouldn't allow u to mix the steamed and the roasted ones unlike Zheng Swee Kee next door. The roast chicken skin has a deeper hue than the Zheng's.

This plate of crunchy bean sprout comes with the set meal for two. U could choose either a bak choy in oyster sauce or a bean sprout!

@singsweekee.sg is here to the rescue! .

They have 6 types of bentos to choose from. The top 2 bentos that I prefer will be:

1. White Chicken Bento - its a tough choice between the hainanese chicken & roast chicken, but hainanese chicken stands out more as the meat is so tender and juicy. The chicken rice is very fragrant and soft, I love this kind of rice!

2. Sweet and Sour Pork Bento - the sweet and sour sauce has the PERFECT balance of sweetness and slight tanginess. I personally prefer pork to fish as it has more bite to it.

For each bento, you can choose 2 side dishes. I prefer their tofu dishes followed by their crispy spring roll.

1. Thai Tofu - the sauce is addictive with a sharp spiciness in the beginning and end with a comfortable sour note. I wish I could have more tofu to dip in the sauce!

2. Pipa Tofu - the tofu is very soft and juicy in the middle. It taste like flavourful egg tofu and when I dip in the savoury sauce, its quite appetizing. .

Don't miss out their sauces, it taste best when you mix the garlic chilli, green ginger and black sauce together. You'll get a balance of spiciness, slight tartness, savoury and sweetness all at once without any taste overpowering each other. You can even buy their sauces in a bottle!

Rating: 💋💋 (Good to Try)

Tell your colleagues or family to try the bentos from @singsweekee.sg, its only $8.50 and they delivers too! It's so convenient and you don't need to get out of the office or house to get a warm bento set.

Verdict: tasted decent but definitely not good enough that i would recommend people it. For me, the most important component of the dish (the rice) was not fragrant enough, though i liked that the rice was neither too oily nor dry.
