this place is 7 mins away from lavender mrt. went there in the evening and was surprised by the queue! had to queue for 15mins so please come early to avoid waiting! Is worth trying the tom yum soup!

Prepared with garlic and fish sauce, it turns out a little savoury with saltiness from the roasted pork which goes well with plain rice. Comes with fried garlic sprinkled at the top.

Chose the clear soup which came moderately spicy, packed with flavours and tanginess. The portion and ingredients is good enough to share among 2 pax.

One of the most common street food found in Thailand that usually comes with chopped long beans, onions, oyster sauce, chili padi and basil leaves. Except being a little salty else everything went well and pairs well with plain rice.

Located in an industrial estate, Soi 47’s second outlet is located near Lavender/ Bendemeer. With most of its dishes priced below $10 and Thai chefs, Soi 47 promises an authentic experience. We ordered the cashew chicken ($6.80) which came in a sweet-sour sauce, capsicums and onions. I found the batter a bit thick and fat, but the dish was certainly flavourful and fulfilling! The tom khai ($6.80) was much thinner than expected, with little coconut milk. It was however generous with its seafood - containing prawns, mussels, squid and some battered fish. We ordered the ice thai milk tea ($3) and ice lemongrass ($2.50). Similarly found the drinks diluted and a tad too sweet. The meal was definitely made worthwhile with burpple beyond’s 1-for-1 main dish & drink!
