Pleasantly surprised by what this cafe, tucked in the middle of the bishan heartlands, had to offer - really affordable food that tasted good and friendly staff that provided great service.
This place also has wall plugs, a plus for people who are looking for a conducive space to work at! Would definitely come back again!
Found this hidden gem at a Presbyterian church, thanks to burpple! Loved the cozy vibes, warm staff, the nice Christian reads and as a whole, how affordable the food was. The pasta was great (loved how generous the sauce was) and my colleague and I enjoyed how spacious and conducive the place was to work and have conversations.
5% off for students and 20% off for seniors, an added perk!
Ps: Many thanks to the friendly staff who lent me your iPhone cable, it saved my phone battery at a much needed time!

Iβm so glad this pasta did not disappoint because I was really hungry and whenever I see spicy pasta on the menu I have my doubts b/c most of the time the spicy sauce does not give me the πΆ kick that I want. π€ͺβ£

Note: This cafe is located inside a Church! β£π They only have a few tables and the decor is v simple & average so if you want a cafe w a super nice ambience this shouldnβt be on the top of your list. This is more of a quiet cafe to chill when you want to do some work or read a book. :) β£

The cafe is at the annex of the community church. They serve a simple fare and a good selection of cakes. Personally not wow-ed but given the dearth of cafes in Bishan, this is possibly a nice little nook to relax at. Had a chocolate lava cake (doesn't ooze but it was nice) and a hot choco!
This gives me quite the kick because it was so spicy!!! This was $10. I also topped up $1 for iced lemon tea.

small, unexpected but cosy space in a church! food is alright but it's not too expensive! has some board games as well. ordered 1 chicken ($7), 2 beef stew ($9 each), 1 coleslaw ($1.50), 1 strawberry cake ($4), 2 root beer float ($4.50 each) = $39.50 total
Served with a choice of mash/bread/rice. There's also a 15% discount for students!
A simple roast pork sandwich (S$4) served in Ciabatta and a side of salad with vinaigrette would be good for a small snack! The roasted pork was somewhat like sio bak, which had crispy skin & not too much fats! A pretty small portion, so I wouldn't recommend it as lunch! But you can try their pies as well! It looks pretty good from the neighboring tables.
Hot piping beef stew served with red wine alongside a choice of rice, mash or bread (S$9)! This is one of the mains available in this tiny cafe & it's really good! :) the beef was stewed till it became soft & tender & paired with their really smooth mash! Definitely worth the money & another perk is that it's just a 2 minutes walk from my place & the bus stop is located right in front of it! So you wouldn't have to walk too far! Oh oh, you can also top up $1 for iced tea or $2 for black coffee!

Smell strong of red wine. Huge serving. Strongly flavoured. The carrot is melt in the mouth but the meat is a bit dry.
Interesting finding a cafe at the first floor of a church. Don't forget to try their Nutella Special ($6). Very rich in taste shake.

To round things off, a generous serving of homemade mash is added to make this a very satisfying meal #nofilter
