Tucked away in the basement of Hong Leong Building, this donburi joint is ideal for quick after-work dinners with your colleagues. The Gyu Don 2.0 ($20.90) features succulent, medium rare USDA Prime Roast Beef with served with garlic chips and savoury kombu butter for extra oomph. Otherwise, the Salmon Cha Soba ($22.90), featuring teriyaki-glazed salmon topped with a wobbly onsen egg and ikura is a great alternative.

Tbh the onsen egg sealed the deal haha tho everything else in this bowl was good too! Even has some roe. A lil pricey but we got it on discount. Also conveniently located at Hong Leong

Rice bowl is pretty decent. The chicken is actually chicken leg, which I personally prefer over normal chicken breast.

Especially loved the Beef Sukiyaki Don, Chashu Don, and even the Honey Miso Buta Soba!

They too offer a variety of Japanese Dons for the protein-carbs quick fix. We tried their Wagyu beef with Ikura topping which was pretty decent. Not the juiciest Wagyu but it was tender and quite tasty. There was also a truffle option for the extra flavour.
Apt for the city crowd also was that they serve alcoholic options to unwind at the end of the day. But above all, discounts of up to 50% offered good value to enjoy this.

Billing themselves the “purveyors of gourmet Wagyu Bowls”, this eatery located at an unassuming corner of Hong Leong Building did not disappoint. Their Truffle Tenderloin Don ($15.90) had just the right amount of truffle in it without going over the top. Also, the place had really funky decor - upvotes for that! Felt like I was transported back to the shimmering 80s 🕹🎮
