When I was working in Funan area, Tony Café caifan was one of my favourite food to get, and the only caifan place that I frequent the most (at least once every week)!

Tony Café is called a café, but they are not a café at all. They are situated in a very unassuming location at The Adelphi Mall Level 2. If you do not frequent this place, you may not even know that such food place exists in The Aldephi Mall!

What is so special about Tony Café caifan is that they have specialty meat dishes for each day of the week (hence my favourite caifan stall because I do not order vegetables LOL). Fried Chicken Wings are served on mon, wed and sat. Tuesday is meatball days. Thursday is honey wing days. (this is what I recall from 5 years ago la hor, not sure if it has changed over the years)

During my recent visit (it was a Friday), they were serving this Fried Chicken Cutlet! Like that they prepared special chilli sauce for the chicken cutlet too!

On fried chicken wing day they also have the option of "chicken rice" instead of "plain white rice"

My typical orders are the specialty meat + otah + egg tofu. But during this visit, there wasn't any otah. Hence I got a serving of curry potato instead (lol carbs on carbs). You can request for curry sauce or braised sauce!

This order amounted to $4.30.

Overall: 7/10

Tony's cafe serves some quality economic rice or cai fan. There is a good variety of meats and vegetables, and they tasted really food. I especially loved the black pepper pork as it was so tender and eat slice was coated fully in the sauce. The fried chicken, egg tofu, cabbage and brocoli were also well cooked but they did not stand out.

Prices are rather steep here as it cost $6.60 for 2 meat and 2 veg. While I don't mind heading back to try their meatballs which is said to be great, I don't think I'll frequent them due to the price.

What cheap stalls are there? Let me know!

Besides awesome chicken wings (fried or bbq - take your pick), Tony Cafe also serves awesome fried meatballs on Tuesdays.

Their meatballs are made of minced pork, mushrooms, onions and various vegetables, and deep fried to a rich golden brown colour. They are crispy on the outside and savoury sweet on the inside, with a subtle Chinese 5-spice marination.

I really enjoy their meatballs so Meatball Tuesdays are usually tough decision days!

The good thing about Tony Cafe's bbq chicken wings is that they are available Mondays to Fridays without fail.

The quality of their bbq wings are consistently good and I love their sweet honey bbq glaze. I personally prefer the bbq wings so give both a shot and lemme know which do you prefer!

Tony Cafe serves some of the best, if not the best fried chicken wings in town.

Their fried chicken wings are always shattering crisp (even if you dabao them!), tender and juicy. They are simply irresistible when paired with their tangy chicken rice chilli sauce.

Do note however that their fried chicken wings are only served on Mondays and Wednesdays but you can always grab their barbecued chicken wings otherwise because they are just as awesome!

2 veggie + 1 meat @ $4

Chicken wings here are still good as ever, crunchy even when packed with saucey food and really tasty. Curry veggie and sambal long beans are also flavourful and of the right spicy level for me.

Simple caifan food is always the best for the heart, stomach and pocket.

Also, would strongly urge everyone to bring your own container when going out to buy food.
