Food tastes better than the service - but that's not difficult when your service is pretty terrible. I've never waited so long for a salad order, being the first & only person waiting in line. Ordered a Grilled Salmon Salad for my partner & opted for the basic ($8.80) DIY salad myself. Was then told that there was no Grilled Salmon left, how about Smoked Salmon? We didn't want that, so we changed it to a Thai Chicken Salad ($11.80).
The DIY salad order was only processed after the Thai Chicken Salad was made. Didn't make sense to me because there were 2 staff at the counter, they could've processed these orders simultaneously. I say this with great unhappiness because I was told that my option of a base (couscous) was not available - they only have brown rice & quinoa left. Wait, what? Out of the nearly 10 options on your order sheet, you only have 1 option left?
Would've just said screw it, thanks but no thanks & walked away, if not for the fact that the Thai Chicken Salad had been already made AND my partner is more forgiving than I am when it comes to screw ups like this. So I said scrap my order, we'll just pay for the chicken salad. Just one salad. Only then did one of the service staff walk to their takeout corner (pre-packed food) & take a box of couscous to start preparing my order PROPERLY.
If this doesn't turn you off as a customer, then there's something wrong with you. Laziness is something I cannot tolerate. Wow. Were you just trying to be lazy by telling me couscous ran out so you only need to reach for the brown rice & quinoa which is nearer to you?
& to top it all off, we were charged $1 extra for my meal. Some people can't do Math for nuts but unluckily for you, I can, & most of the time I don't need a calculator. $8.80 + $11.80 is not $21.60.
Needless to say, I'm dead certain I won't be dining here again. Even if the food is decent, I don't want to have to put up with awful service.

Presto pasta salad for lunch today and man, it was yummmmmm. Healthy meal under $10. Totally worth it. The meal comes with a healthy portion of soup and ice lemon tea. They had few other options including porky pig(pork carnita), Mediterranean couscous and brown rice. The porky pig was really good too. It came with flavourful roasted potatoes. Must try!! They also send burritos and wraps for those who want something besides tossed salads.
