Expected chicken chunks to be cooked in a tom yum sauce, but instead what I got was pieces of karaage (Japanese fried chicken) with tom yum powder sprinkled over it. Bought this at student price but I feel like it's still a complete rip off. You can judge for yourself whether this is still 'authentic thai food'.

Ordered Set C which consist of a main (Phad Thai) & dessert (Golden Toast with Dips) which I choose the Yam Kaya Dip and spent a total of $10.80.

The Phad Thai kind of dry but the taste is not bad. Might be due to me having it takeaway and the noodle and sauce dried up. The Golden Toast with Dips is nice. The Toast is toasted perfectly and it is a good compliment with the dip for the sweetness.

I would come back for the Toast but not the mains.

Price 💸: $11.90 (Thai Milk Tea Shibuya Toast)
Review 💬: Have been wanting to try Tuk Tuk Cha’s shibuya toasts for awhile as they are pretty affordable compared to others like Dazzling Cafe’s. Opted for the thai milk tea flavour as I wanted something which was not as common. The portion was just nice for 2-3 in my opinion. The toast was a little off to me, although I could not quite put a finger on it. Maybe it was too buttery (which made it taste overly greasy) or the edges were not as crispy as I would have liked, but as an entire, it was not bad. Would not go back just for the shibuya toast, but if I’m in the area and craving for something sweet, I would not mind getting it again.

Decent replacement from the thick toast from After You Cafe from bangkok. Of course price difference is huge lol but whatcanyoudo #SGISEXPENSIVE HAHAHHAHA

Hillion Mall has a relatively big dining-in area which wasn't particularly crowded on a Thursday evening around 630pm, which meant it was easy to find seats. The seafood in my Pad Thai wasn't stingy and I would say the $9.80 set (one main and one drink) is affordable for a dinner meal!

From Tuk Tuk Cha, opened last week at Hillion Mall. Same old crispy, garlicky and buttery toast that I yearn for, now served with chili sauce at the side but I definitely prefer it as it is without the chili. The dine-in area is huge for this outlet, and the kitchen also serves up a limited variety of noodle, curry and rice dishes. Reckon it's a spot I would be visiting very often especially since it's on the way to school!
