From the Burpple community

The scallop & salmon were served generously and fresh.
Loved that charred, torched flavor on both the salmon and scallops.
However, the service here isn’t the best. The cashier/waiter was a little impatient, angsty.
Definitely worth coming back for its 1 for 1 Burpple Deal.

very very worth it! $7 per person after the burpple 1 for 1 deal. not overly crowded on evenings, dish was served out quite fast, just felt that service could be improved. the special salmon don has too much mayo in my opinion, kind of undermined the taste of the salmon. aburi salmon don was good though! overall good experience and definitely worth it (even without the 1f1!)

✨Aburi Salmon Don✨
The cucumber tasted really raw. Maybe they should have diced it instead and drizzle a little soy sauce on it to fit well with the salmon. The salmon was chewy and slightly seared for a burnt taste. That grilled taste gives a smoky flavour to this refreshing dish. However, the salmon was a little too chewy as it took a few extra bites before swallowing. The vinegared rice was amazing! I love these kind of japanese rice where they soak it with vinegar and soy sauce! It especially blends very well with the uncooked salmon and wasabi on the side👍🏻

✨Salmon Teriyaki Don✨
The salmon was seared and cooked beautifully. It was also slightly drizzled with teriyaki sauce, giving it a little sweet and tangy flavour. The salmon itself was also tender and not dry, despite it being fully cooked. The rice was the same as the previous bowl; moistened with soy and vinegar. Hence, this bowl of rice did not feel dry at all.

💸Total damage for 2 pax: $15 with a drink (because of Burpple!💜)

For Ocean-Fresh Bowls on Casual Date Nights
A quiet hole-in-the-wall near the MRT, this is great for couples on no-frills date night. Get the Aburi Salmon Don ($13) and Anago Don (sea eel don, $18) at the price of one. If you've got cash to spare, make this a special treat with the Monkfish Liver ($7) to go with a bottle of House Sake ($20 a bottle).

my first choice of affordable and delicious salmon dons. been back here so many times the cravings never end!!! their burnt mayo sauce is so addictive (tho this time it was a little less smokey than i remembered). only disappointment is that my meal ended but i love uni nami so much 😭😭😭

Indeed a big bowl with lots of clams! Super fantastic, the broth is light and tasty, the clams are juicy and fresh. The portion is definitely not for one. Every clam is definitely not empty! Highly recommend this as a sharing side dish.
