Quite similar to the Singaporean version of Kway Chap, Restoran Woon Kiang was actually recommended by our Grab Driver, touted as one of the best in Johor. Just about a 10 minutes cab ride from @jbcitysquare, there is no reason not to try it if you are a fan of Kway Chap.

Pretty much everything here was good, but I must say the ultimate winner was their Signature Kuey Teow noodles served in a bowl of delicious herbal broth. I was so close to getting another bowl of it even though I was already bloated 😂. #whatisdigestingJB

Our first try of kway teow kia was at Restoran Woon Kiang! Paid 21RM (S$7) for a bowl of kway teow kia and a bunch of ingredients (2 pax portion). Our favourite here was the tender, well seasoned and thoroughly braised plate of braised duck. Tofu was good too!

The kway teow kia is served in a light herbal broth, topped with fried shallots and pork lard. Although the noodles were smooth, we found the broth a bit too watered down and the pork lard had an aftertaste that we weren’t a big fan of. We were served a bowl of their herbal broth on its own and it was a lot more robust! Food’s still good but we personally prefer a more savoury bowl like San Lou Kway Teow Kia that is across the road.

Super affordable braised duck, kway chap and kway tiao. Delicious!

Went back again with a larger group of friends so we could order a larger variety of things and I wasn't disappointed again!! .
