From Seng Li Hainanese Chicken Rice at the abovementioned coffeeshop. Pretty average I would say; the chili quite overwhelmed the flavour of the sauce so it's more on the savoury side rather than being sweet. Shredded chicken wasn't actually shredded, but more of the usually chunks you would get with Chicken Rice; not complaining about that though.

Trying this western grill stall named Grill Works at 7 Stars Kopitiam around my neighbourhood which also houses the Chai Chee Teochew Fishball Noodles stall I have tried some time back. Quite generous in portion size, this costs $6.90 with the flexibility to chose firm two sides. Going with Mac & Cheese and Potato Wedges, I wasn't really impressed by the half-hearted flavours of the Mac & Cheese for it just felt like it couldn't decide whether to taste heavier of cheese or dressing, but the potato wedges were well-fried being crispy and all. Cajun spices were a little subtle on the chicken (most of it seemed sprinkled either above the cheese, or within the cheese), though the chicken comes tender and carried a nice smoky flavour from the grilling. Despite so, it's definitely hard to say that I didn't enjoy it; who can resist that layer of sinful melted cheese which is all stringy when you pull them apart? Quite a good addition to my neighbourhood, especially with its generous portions and affordable pricing unlike the countless of stalls that opened in the neighbourhood mall across the road which closes down in a matter of months for serving subpar western fare ...

From the Chai Chee Noodle Village stall at Cafe 570; a coffeeshop that recently reopened after a change of hands. Pretty decent for what it is though the bowl is filled of generic items such as the fishball, dumplings and fish cake. While the noodles wasn't particularly springy, it was done pretty al-dente. The sauce would suit those who are looking for something light; though not particularly thick, the sauce was delightfully flavourful and mildly spicy without overwhelming the palate.
