Great For Sharing Perfect among 2-4, Talay Thai's grilled seafood platter comes with quite a variety of seafood. It's star attraction is definitely the grilled oyster with homemade sauce. The grilling process removed the terrible 'oyster smell' but still kept the juiciness of the original oysters - perfect for the virgin oyster experience. Another thing I loved was the BBQ cuttlefish that was so smoky, so chewy yet soft enough to break!

The late night makes me crave for this Tom Yum Lobster Bisque ($14) served with Boston Lobster. Cooked and simmered for long hours with Boston Lobster shells, the bisque naturally takes on a strong umami flavour. And this was playfully complemented with Tom Yum spices, giving the soup a lovely lemongrass fragrance and a slight kick. More yummy goodness on my IG story, which will disappear in <12 hours' time! Thank you @juliuslim for the invitation and @creativeeateries for hosting! I had a great food coma inducing lunch 馃槏

An absolute stunner of a bisque. Against the hues of red neon, this Tom Yum Lobster Bisque ($14) shines bright like a diamond. Boiled for hours using lobster shells, the resulting tom yum bisque was one of aromatic and spicy with a slight tang. This entire dish paired with the grilled lobster tail lemongrass brochette definitely did not hold back any punches and delivered a knockout victory. 鈥 This was an invited tasting hosted by @creativeeateries 鈥 Talay Thai Address: 3E, River Valley Road, Traders' Market, Unit 01-05, Singapore 179024 #yoursingapore #visitsingapore #singapore #burppleSG #burpproved #buzzfeast #buzzfeedfood #Makansutra #restaurantsg #thaifood #talaythaisg #talaythai #creativeeateries #clarkequay #clarkequaysg #winedinegoodtimes

My Duck Fried Noodle ($15.90) An Asian duck confit seasoned with special herbs and served with fresh egg noodles. The egg noodles here are all handmade fresh daily, and they do make some damn good noodles. The noodles are so QQ and springy, plus they are firm and never get soggy even after sitting in fragrant chilli and sesame oil. I enjoyed the duck confit, but it did taste a little bland on its own. Thankfully there鈥檚 some chilli paste provided with the duck platter. The tender duck meat is delicious when eaten with the flavourful noodles, and biting into the crispy skin on a spoonful of noodles and meat is amazing. I really enjoyed the deep fried vegetable-stuffed tau pok as well. The batter is done really well, not too thick, and fried to a perfect crispness. The vegetable stuffing completely fell out of one half of my tau pok, but it was still yummy to eat the battered tau pok! Also, the clear radish soup served with every bowl of noodles is worth a mention! The radish makes the soup very sweet, and it鈥檚 a great way to end off a hearty meal. The soy egg in the bowl was an add-on, and unlike the noodles, it was a let down. The soy sauce flavouring wasn鈥檛 thick enough, so the egg just tasted unseasoned despite its brown appearance. The egg was soft on the inside, like a hanjuku egg, but the yolk was too overcooked to retain any runniness.

Handmade Meatballs Soup (5pcs, $6.90) Five juicy meatballs in rich aromatic broth. Seriously this broth packs a huge flavour punch. The herbs remind me of five spice, and it鈥檚 such a hearty and warming bowl of soup. There鈥檚 some water chestnut cubes inside the soup, which are refreshing and add a crunch. The handmade meatballs are really really nice too. They鈥檙e seriously juicy, and not dry at all. Apart from making super good egg noodles, these people know how to make a mean bowl of meatball soup! Recommended!!!

Tucked in a quiet corner of Shaw Centre, I Want My Noodle makes delicious artisanal noodles with fresh eggs. Kinda reminiscent of Indomie, it鈥檚 saucy, delicious and a good place to dine in town if you鈥檙e looking for a budget meal. I like their Bak Chor Mee as for $6.50 you get a sized bowl of chewy noodles and delicious fresh ingredients. 鈥 Do note they can be slightly overwhelmed during lunch time and would take slightly longer for service. Thankfully, food quality is still good.
