The beef noodles here is off the charts. Highly recommended by a KL native, they were so nice to pick us up and drove us there. The beef is extremely tender and flavorful on the inside. Honestly, I haven't tasted something better off the streets. I don't see how we could have discovered this place without the local knowledge of the city dwellers. The hour long jam was so worth it.
Freshly baked bread is always a good way to start your morning. Serving the classic Vietnamese sandwich that combines French influence and Vietnamese ingredients, O Banh Mi is the perfect spot to satisfy your bánh mì craving. All the ingredients including the barbecued pork are homemade, and the baguettes baked in-house daily. Spice things up and go for the OMG Banh Mi - it's sure to fill you up! If you want something lighter, go for the O Sunny and crispy Vietnamese spring rolls. Wash it all down with a strong cup of Vietnamese coffee, and you'll be ready to start your day.
Whenever I go to KL, I like to visit lot 10 Hutong because here you can get many popular hawker fare under one roof. While price is slightly steep for hawker fare, rest assured that the quality is as good as it was before. One of my to go items is the duck egg char kuay teow because rarely can I find these Penang style ones in SG. The duck egg gives extra oomph to the dish, making such a sinful dish worth the calories! 😁
Another of my favorite dishes is KL hokkien mee, the one at Lot 10 Hutong is as good as my favorite stall Mun Wah at Jalan Alor. It's dark, wet and packed with fried pork lard. Do remember to order mix of lor mee and mihun!
This is one of my favorite food in KL and was so glad that it opened at Lot 10 Hutong and kept the taste so I don't have to go all the way to its original stall. You rarely find these type of beef balls anymore, and the soup is just so good, topped with the minced beef, it's just amazing how such a simple looking dish can taste so good! Yum!

Very cozy area. Love their decor. LOVE THEIR FOOD!
This cafe is going to the top of my list. Sadly it's all the way in kl and I can't visit it so often. Why do you have to be so far? 😭
Had Feeka's big breakfast. Switched to rye toast and scrambled eggs instead of brioche and sunny side up. I love the chicken sausage. It's so flavourful! The sautéed potatoes and mushrooms is delicious. Love the seasoning. Bacon (beef I presume) is my too salty and fat. Not too hard as well. Although no baked beans, this breakfast set has done justice to breakfast lovers.
Tried their new arrival; the Mille crepe cake series. I had the Almond Salted Caramel one. Not to sweet! Which I like. I'm not sure where they got it from but it's better than the overly sweet ones at Food Foundry.
Had a cappuccino and requested for a swan. Finally had the guts to make requests. Thank you to the lovely barista Rachel! Sadly they didn't have soy milk that day nor do they provide low fat milk.
Coffee post later because I had their Aeropress too! It's simply amazing.
I wanted to try the yogurt parfait as well but they too didn't have them that day. And I was too early to order from their lunch menu which starts at 12pm. 😅
Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 20 for big breakfast. RM 13 for Mille crepe cake. RM 10 for Capp. They have common cafe prices. Not really overpriced for some)
When one says "crazy cheap pasta", you probably wouldn't guess RM5! It's probably impossible to get decent pasta at RM5 anywhere else. The success of The Humble Chef Food Truck has led to the opening of a dine-in cafe. Go for their popular lamb aglio aglio - you'll be pleasantly surprised. Besides pasta, pitas and omelettes are also on the menu, each for less than RM5. The portions are on the small side, but c'mon..yummy pasta for just RM5? Perhaps you should have 2 portions!

Founded by two friends who studied in Melbourne, this café represents their time down under. The undisputed specialty here is the Farmer’s Pancakes (RM 18.90) – an irresistibly unique combination of pancakes with ham, hash browns, mushrooms, sunny side up and maple syrup. It will leave you wondering why you haven't had this perfectly sweet/salty combo before. Also delightful is their rendition of Eggs Ben, served on a crisp, buttery croissant. Wash it all down with their signature mocha with choco balls. Besides the food, this cafe also has a great, laid-back feel, and windows that allow light to stream in.
Cultura is the perfect place to unwind from the hectic KL lifestyle and have some ‘me’ time. Cosy and convenient, it’s a great place to savour a Degayo Sumatran coffee, which was grown on Indonesian volcanic soil. While you're there, enjoy the undeniably delicious homemade toasties. Don’t leave Cultura without trying their cheesecake – have it with chai on top or tofu mixed in, there’s really no way you can go wrong. Alternatively, go for or the mini Danish pastries that are homemade and freshly baked daily.
Haikara Style Café and Bakery is a hidden gem in Subang Jaya run by a couple from Nagoya, Japan. Serving affordable home-cooked Japanese pastries and food, this place is a must for breakfast. If you dine in before noon, order the roasted coffee made from their special blend and receive Haikara’s famous homemade bread and scrambled eggs for free! For a more substantial meal, opt for their delightfully crisp, juicy chicken katsu sandwich. The Fujisan is a delectable dessert - a Kato-style bread pudding that comes with a homemade cheesecake base, layered with bread soaked in egg, cream and milk, then finished with ice cream and toppings. Now, that's definitely reason enough to visit Haikara.
