Even though we had stuffed ourselves on practically every dish listed in their dinner menu, we made sure to reserve tummy space for Artichoke's recently-launched Neh Neh Pops - a range of fabulously creative ice-creams dreamed up by owner Bjorn Shen. Between the seven of us, three chose the Sneekers, while the remaining four opted for the Strawberry Pockie, Double Chocolate Cone, Rocky Road and Mango Sticky Rice.
If you are a fan of Snickers, or peanut butter, the Sneekers will propel you to your happy place in no time. The consensus from the trio in our group who gobbled theirs down, was that the oozy salted caramel hidden within was exceptionally lovely.
Strawberry Pockie is a good one for those who fancy something fruity yet creamy. The person who picked this said that the pieces of strawberry Pocky biscuit sticks embedded in the white chocolate-dipped coating tasted nice and fresh.
The two chocolate lovers in our group were pleased with their Double Chocolate Cone and Rocky Road respectively. The former has a rich, smooth kulfi-style milk chocolate ice-cream covered in a crisp milk chocolate coating that's studded with broken pieces of crunchy cone. The latter, flamboyantly dressed in colourful cereal bits, is sweeter overall. There's even marshmallows buried in the Rocky Road's milk chocolate ice-cream.
I went for the bestselling Mango Sticky Rice because I was really curious to taste the results of the well-known Thai dessert being translated into an ice-cream on a stick. Well, Bjorn and his team pulled it off in style! I loved that the creamy coconut rice pudding ice-cream block had real mangoes inside, and the coating of white chocolate came covered with toasted coconut flakes and rice crispies. This divine decadence is something I would return for again and again. But the Sneekers is also on my radar... 😁

The unique waffle/pancake creations were so attractive! We tried the Affogato (S$12) waffle which came with a house special espresso sauce and melted marshmallows. Pairing gooey marshmallows and a bittersweet syrup is such a stroke of genius. We loved the flavours!!

Only bummer was the waffles were so crispy (more like hard) they would make great biscottis. Chef supposedly said it's intended that way so I'm a tad confused. Is that true?

Fragrant peanut butter--made in-house that's an unexpected but gorgeous deep brown hue--buries a giant scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Along then comes a pair of large crunchy biscotti pieces. And finally, the toasted nuts who always insist on arriving fashionably late to a party. #snickers #thelokal #thelokalsg #sgcafe #cafehoppingsg #cafesg #instafoodsg #foodgram #desserts #foodporn #eatoutsg #Burpple #BurppleTastemaker

Looking at those glistering burger buns! It was enough to make me salivate while I wait for them to arrive! On the tray was the Dead Hippie (their best seller), the Cheeseburger & the Green Chilli Cheeseburger. I would say the Cheeseburger was the most worth it (partially cause I had it) & that my friend said the Dead Hippie tasted like any other burger. Either it was his tastebuds, or they were having a really busy night. On the sides are their Buffalo Wings, Monkey Fingers & Sambal Fries (not in picture). Their Monkey Fingers were chicken tenders but done to a savory perfection, tho a tad too salty & came with a side of blue cheese dip! For the adventurous, you may like the dip, but for me, I'll just have the fingers all by itself. As for the Buffalo Wings, it's peel-off-the-bone texture made it pretty easy to consume!

This was even better than the Hummus and Chicken Shawarma I had on my first visit. As the hummus had enveloped it previously, the chicken didn't have a chance to show off its moist tenderness then. But oh boy, did it own that stage today! 😋😋👏👏

Decided to go for the After Eight as mint is always my first choice when it comes to desserts. The flavours here are pretty intense, yet not overly sweet. A strong contender to all the ice cream bars out there. Will be back again.
