Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock is a kopitiam of modern interior, but thankfully, they serve all the Malaysian classics. Unlike other places that have made tweaks to their food, this place certainly aims to get their basics right! Especially comforting is their nasi lemak (RM9.50), with the fragrance of the coconut rice filling the air, and fiery sambal warming your belly with a piece of chicken fried to perfection. Wash it all down with a teh tarik to complete the meal!
Nom, nom, noming this plate of Fried Nasi Lemak (RM18.50) with a side of crispy chicken drumstick, topped with a fried egg, ready to ooze its golden goodness at Nom, Bangsar. When delicate coconut milk, bold turmeric flavours and crunchy fried ground nuts come together, it’s a glorious thing.
With a huge serving of rice, sweet sambal prawns and a heap of nasi lemak sambal, there's nothing that can go wrong about this RM5.50 dish. Come here with someone you'd like to have an intimate conversation with as its cosy environment and decoration hit all the right spots to make you feel at home during your dining experience. P.s. do not miss out on their masala tea!
Sweet-ish sambal lovers, look no further. RM4 for a scrumptious plate of nasi lemak with killer, sweet sambal is a deal you can rarely find anywhere else! If you're feeling ravenous, order the set with deep fried chicken, sambal prawns and squid which comes with a refreshing dessert for only RM17.80. Note that this place serves rendang pork (RM8.50) and is hence not halal.
Hailing from Taiwan, this oddly named steamboat restaurant has incredible value-for-money hotpot deals for one. Rainy day dinners are sorted with the Classic Original Pot's (RM11) tasty, clear broth. Otherwise, warm your belly with a Mongolian Herbs Pot (RM15.50) which simmers herbs and spices for a flavour-packed pot. Recently introduced is Two Pesos' BBQ Pot (RM19.50) that allows you to have the best of both worlds — steamboat and BBQ! All individual sets come with a variety of protein, wheat and vegetables.

This hot spicy laksa will rejuvenate your soul after a long tiring day!
Noodles are my staple breakfast and to have it with the tenderest fatty char siew is heaven. The T&R Hakka Noodles With Char Siew is only RM7.40 but prepare pay a heftier price in the form of waiting time.
Could be an awesome breakfast even brunch choice. Eggs and soldiers (right) taste great without any additional sauce. Would make you fresh even lived in a haze city.
It has finally hit our shores and your life might just change from here on out — Llaollao is here. This Spanish brand has been making waves all across the globe for years, and they certainly know how to stand out in a crowd with those signature long, green spoons. Get your monstrous froyo cravings fixed at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and we say get yourself anything as long as it has speculoos cookie sauce on it. Starting from RM4.90, your choices are endless from crunchy nuts to fresh fruits. They also have smoothies with frozen yoghurt like Golden Plus (with a mango base) and Split (with a banana-caramel flavour) for RM18.90 each!
Coffee lovers and plain cafe enthusiasts are often found loitering at this cafe. A major player in KL's coffee wars, Artisan Roast keeps its game plan a notch higher with the art of good, quality coffee ever since its inception a few years back. Their mini chocolate bars are an excellent accompaniment to your coffee. Otherwise, a cup of well made Varlhona-based mocha does the trick too.
First time here and loved the interior. 😍
