Haron Satay are well known for their.... well obviously.... satay..... hahahaha their satay is always grilled to perfection making its meat very tender and juicy. But I personally got to their shop
to get my BBQ chicken wings craving fix!

Their wings ($1.20 per piece, minimum order of 3 pieces) are flavourfully marinated with the fragrance of barbecue cooked over charcoal. A side of lime is provided, which can be sprinkled all over them before dipping the wings into their tangy spicy chilli sauce. Upon bite, the chicken skin exudes a heavenly degree of crisp, arising from a unique texture of its own. At the same time, the meat is very fragrant and tender right to the bones. I'm sure many of us pretty much adore the Singapore version of BBQ chicken wings.

This is my personal favourite whenever I dine in at 4Fingers!

Combo set comes with two Katsu Chicken Sandwich which is served in warm bun and a side of fries - choose between Kimchi or Seaweed.

The Katsu Chicken is grilled with some sort of tangy teriyaki sauce and the meat was surprisingly tender and soft! Top off with Kimchi Coleslaw which has a refreshing mix of cabbage, carrots and the Kimchi flavour was nice too. Wasn't too bland nor too salty (my ultimate no. 1 problem with pre-packed kimchi).

Price: $9.90 combo w/ fries & drink.

Green tea lovers, you wouldn't want to miss this!

This is definitely not your regular typical toast bread, they use charcoal toast which I was pretty skeptical about in the first place. I couldn't gather the thought of two strong individuals flavours - matcha green tea and charcoal - being infused into one, but this dish surprisingly managed to pull it off. When the green tea lava oozed out of the toast like a volcano eruption, my heart melts! The combination of the two flavours gave off a unique bitter aftertaste to my tastebuds.

The sauce came out a bit watery in my opinion. Would prefer it to be thicker and with a stronger match green tea flavour. Definitely instagram and ig stories worthy one! DAMN SHIOK!

Can be shared among 2-4 pax.
But if you're a green tea lover like me, I recommend you eat and nua by yourself.

Price: S$14.90.

Hazelnut lovers will LOVE this. Personally I'm not a fan of nuts but I felt that this deserves a shot.

Toast comes with one piece of ferrero rocher chocolate and served with chocolate ice-cream and two pieces of chocolate stick wafers. Overall, I felt that this dish was a bit too sweet for my liking - the combination of caramel and chocolate sauce was too much for me. It was way too rich but then again, it's just my preference.

Anyway, do note that toast does not have any fillings inside. (I was damn disappointed, but partially my fault too for assuming lol)

Perfect to be shared among 2-4 pax.

Served with glass noodles minced chicken and thai salad at the side. Meal offers chunkier pieces of basil chicken however, I felt that it was overcooked. Dish was pretty dry at the throat, could have been better if a side of soup was served too. Although I think the aroma of the dish could be better enhanced with more chillies and garlic, some diners may appreciate Saap Saap Thai’s subtle use of these spices.

The Tempura Udon has a really nice aromatic broth, served with fish cake and 2 pieces of golden brown ebi tempura. The noodles were springy and chewy too. Price: $8.90

The Chicken Katsu Bento Rice Set was okay I felt. It was just a regular chicken katsu that you can find in any typical pasar malam kind. Nothing special to be honest. But for the price that I paid for, it was pretty much your all-round meal with rice, meat and some veggies on the side. Even comes with a miso soup and free flow green tea! Overall not bad especially if you’re on a budget! Price: $9.90

If you're looking for a "healthier" version of mee kuah, this might be the one for you. They are too generous with their vegetables portion I'd say. The soup has a thick consistency, which may not appeal to some but it was okay for me. After a few bites, I was already gasping for water... i think they added too much seasoning inside so, this is probably the first and last time I'm ordering this? *nervous laughter*

Price: $5 (plain) / $6 (with chicken or beef)

An open air concept coffee shop at a super affordable hawker centre price! The dishes are all fresh and I opted for the "la mian" noodles at an additional price of $1.20, it's very chewy and blended very well with the yong taufu.

Lots of choices - fresh vegetables, stuffed items, tofu, mushrooms, deep fried stuffs and etc. means we often pile up too much into our bowls. You can have choice of clear or tom yam soup, laksa, ampang or hakka gravy, or dry.

You can also have your choice of several types of noodles, white rice, bee hoon and la mian from $0.50 to $1.20. Noodles is usually put separately into another bowl dribbled with shallot oil which is really nice.

Side dishes of fried snacks like Crispy Fried Chicken Wings (MUST TRY) and You Tiao stuffed with Sotong Paste are also available.

The Rice Paper Roll with Prawns was really refreshing. It comes in a pair which the staff gladly helped us to cut it into two, served with a peanut dipping sauce (which reminds me of the sweet sauce whenever you eat yong tau foo). The flavours are clean and fresh with prawns, mint leaves, lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots and vermicelli noodles wrapped in rice paper.

Chicken wings was really good! 3 piece of wings was nicely marinated in a sweet fish sauce and deep fried afterwards. Love it!

It's very hard (or nearly impossible) to find a good halal hotpot restaurant in Singapore so when I stumbled upon this place, I knew I had to give it a try. This place is seriously UNDER HYPE. I couldn't spot a single thing that I dislike about this restaurant..... great ambience, friendly staffs, quick service (our food was served in less than 15 minutes) and good, affordable food? What more could someone ever asked for?

I had their Vietnamese Hot Pot with Rice and it's really delicious. The soup base is light and flavourful even before adding all the ingredients in. Generous portion I must say! The beef slices were really tender and it helps to further enhance the flavour of the soup base and aroma. The vegetables served were fresh and the chili padi gave an extra kick which got me teary eyed. Definitely coming back here again!

I ordered 2 soft serves – Vanilla Crumble and Nano Yogurt (RM 14/each).

The Nano Yogurt consists of their home made yogurt soft serve with blueberries and granola. There are also Kellogg’s cereal deep into the soft serve. It was pretty refreshing and a perfect choice of dessert after a heavy meal because this was on the more sour-ish side. Vanilla Crumble was ok. It's homemade french vanilla soft serve with Belgium apple thin biscuits but I prefer the Nano Yogurt to be honest.

Overall verdict?
The soft serves at Koone were creamy and smooth, yet not overly sweet which made it very palatable for us. The flavors are also distinct and not overwhelmed by the milky or vanilla-ish taste like some of the softserves in Singapore. But just in case you’re wondering how they make the “smoke”, the soft serves are actually contained in a pretty small cup, with the likes of a small llaollao cup. The dry ice is then dropped into the pink cup that you see in every picture, and the smaller cup containing your soft serve is then placed on top of it. So don’t say I never warn ah!

Those poached eggs is AMAZING.

It comes with a pair of each; poach egg, smoked salmon (or turkey ham) and bread, separated in between by some vegetables atop swirling hollandaise sauce, the dish is displayed in a way that is aesthetically beautiful. These poached eggs are made beautifully and is so soft that it melts inside the mouth. I'm a big fan of smoked salmon so no complaints on that, and the sauce gives an interesting touch to the dryness of the bread though.
