Healthy indulgence with their rendition of an Asian salad. Star of the dish was the crispy fried rice paper, but otherwise I think this was rather overpriced.

📍Platform.
🥂: pear 165 ($18)
Made a return visit to @_platform._ with my companion exactly one year after our first visit! 🥰 we were discussing how glad we are that Platform. managed to stick it out through the lockdown!
Another wonderful experience here with 💯 service & cocktails! I was looking for a cocktail with a lighter palate this time, was stuffed after a full day of indulging. Decided on the pear 165 after pouring over their menu of unique drinks.
I reaaaaaaaaally enjoyed this one! It’s topped with a cherry tomato to taste before drinking. It was everything I was looking for; floral with the chamomile, fruity with the pear, lightly fizzy with the sparkling wine but not so much that it leaves you feeling bloated.
My companion had their butterfly pea ($20), which is exactly as described: complex. The dry gin definitely comes through pretty strongly in this one and the marasca cherry leaves an after taste that made us both go 🤔🤔🤔.
We were also given a taste of their sparkling sake due to a mix up with our reservation; what did I say about amazing service! ✨ every table is also given a refillable bowl of tapioca chips which is light salted & super yums.
I typically prefer to drink at home as it’s more affordable and I find cocktails outside pretty overpriced but I can never say no to Platform. You really get what you pay for; a uniquely-crafted cocktail, rustic & minimalist aesthetics for the ‘gram, great service and relaxing ambience (although the music was a tad loud this time but I don’t blame the staff they were too busy to lower the music).

📍 Miznon, Singapore
🍴: Abu Kebab ($24)
SO EXCITED to be sharing about @miznonsg here, considering I’ve been wanting to pay them a visit since 2018 when I was still in Melbourne but missed my chance 😭 I think they opened in late 2020 here but I waited till last month for the initial hype to die down a little.
FIRST OF ALL, keyword above is “a little” because they’re still swamped. Not surprising since this is Singapore’s first Israeli eatery!
Despite being hella packed on a Friday night, service was still top notch 👏🏻 their servers were super friendly & checked in on us regularly. Diners are offered a free side of pita ends with tahini sauce when seated too!
I got the Abu Kebab, which is a pita stuffed to the brim with lamb & beef meatballs, tahini, chilli, salsa, pickles, onion and parsley.
1) The entire pita was literally the size of my head.
2) THE PITA BREAD ITSELF WAS SO SOFT, like a fluffy cloud. Life-changing, never gonna buy those stale pitas from the grocer again 😟
3) IIRC I think I counted like 5 MASSIVE meatballs?? How did they even manage to cram all of that into the pita without it falling apart? 🤔 impressed.
4) The meatballs were PERFECTLY cooked as well. I’m talking charred on the outside, pinky on the inside 🤤
5) Wow they’re generous with the other fillings.
6) My only complaint is that my pita bread wasn’t served warm, but I enjoyed it so much that it didn’t even matter much since the taste more than made up for it.
By the end of our meal, they were giving out free liquorice shots to all their diners.
I was really looking forward to trying their Baby Cauliflower Flower as well, but they haven’t been able to serve it for a while due to something about supply? 🥺 all the more reason for me to pay a second visit though!!

📍Izakaya Hikari
🍱 Salmon Mentaiko Bento ($16.90)
Hidden away in Fortune Centre, my companion and I arrived at the surprisingly packed Izakaya Hikari on a Tuesday night.
I ordered the Salmon Mentaiko Bento, and with 1-for-1 on Burpple Beyond it was such a steal! You can see for yourself in the picture that they were very generous with the mentaiko sauce 🤤 there wasn’t a lot of salmon but it was cooked perfectly till pinky soft.
A worthwhile visit with Burpple Beyond!

📍The Halia
🍝: Chilli crab spaghettini
Had this a while back with my girls 🥰 dining here was a great experience with alfresco seating at Botanic Gardens.
The chilli crab spaghettini is a sweet & tangy tomato-based pasta that’s generously loaded with crab meat. I think it’s worth a try, the dish exceeded my expectations 😊
We ordered a couple of appetisers as well including the truffle fries and lemongrass & ginger prawn salad. The truffle fries was served in a HUGE basket and we devoured it so quickly, definitely order this! The salad was delicious as well for how refreshing it was.

🍦🧇 blue milk & matcha ice cream with plain waffle ($14)
📍 Apiary, Singapore
I LOVE freshly made waffles with ice cream, and I’m so glad I can finally say that I’ve checked @apiary.sg off my list!
It’s definitely one of the more popular ice cream parlours in Singapore, and although I can understand why, I wouldn’t pay a visit again unless there’s absolutely no snaking queue outside.
Apiary’s blue milk is a milk based ice cream that is infused with blue pea flowers and topped with Himalayan sea salt. The result? A smooth & creamy no-frills icy delight.
Paired this with the matcha ice cream which was earthy enough for a true matcha lover like me 🥰
It might’ve been the batch that we got but the waffle arrived soft all-around, no crispy edges. I didn’t mind since I really enjoyed the waffle batter, which was pretty eggy in flavour.
🍄🔴 This was the favourite at the table for the tangy tomato sauce, earthy mushrooms, stretchy cheese and fresh veggies. Al funghi pizzas are usually a good go-to 😊

🥦⚪️ Smoke & citrus, white pizza
📍 Craft Pizza, Singapore
I knew I absolutely had to visit @craftpizzasg again when they launched their new menu 😊 it was a good opportunity for me to introduce my new favourite eatery to some loved ones too anyway!
🥦⚪️ Smoke & citrus is the new white pizza on their menu, comprising of: smoked pancetta, broccoli, onions, green peas, smoked scamorza, lemon and black pepper.
The white pizzas definitely lean to have you filled a lot faster than their red pizzas, and this new one is no different. I definitely still prefer their red pizzas, but I really enjoyed the fresh veggies on Smoke & citrus.
🍕 The star of the show for the pizzas at Craft Pizza are their delicious crust 💓 crisp on the outside, pillowy soft and bready on the inside, this isn’t Pizza Hut where you skip on the thick crust. Not to mention that every table offers some chilli oil and EVOO for you to soak up the crust with!
Always a pleasure visiting @craftpizzasg for their wonderful service, delicious food and great ambience.

🦑 Squid ink spaghetti & clams
📍Craft Pizza, Singapore
my favourite part of visiting @craftpizzasg is always their pasta 😋 particularly their pesto pasta. Every time I visit they use a different sort of pasta as well so it keeps the dining experience feeling fresh & new despite my multiple visits there 🥰
No worries on date night with their squid ink pasta, the squid ink is incorporated into the spaghetti pasta itself so you won’t mess up your nice outfit 😊
As you can see, they were super generous with the clams as well, which were super fresh and complemented the white wine and olive crumble.

🍗 Next were the crispy chicken “parm” wings. Aided by how it was served already boneless, we devoured this one so quickly since we were so famished after a good workout.
As the name suggests, it was cooked to golden perfection, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Honestly, who doesn’t love chicken wings right? 😋
🍅🧀 Buffalo caprese salad
📍Craft Pizza, Singapore
Managed to bring some of my favourite people to @craftpizzasg for lunch a while back 🥰
This simple but classic starter salad is a true testament to the eatery’s high quality produce. as the first dish to arrive at our table, it set the tone of what my companions could expect from craft pizza. As per my experiences with them so far, it did not disappoint!
🍅🧀 The heirloom tomatoes are incredibly fresh; proven by how juicy & bursting with flavour they are. The buffalo mozzarella was light, mild yet creamy and perfectly balanced by the tanginess of the aged balsamic.

🍩 lemon, vanilla bean & hojicha donuts ($3.80 each)
📍puffs & peaks bakery
🍵 hojicha donut: omg this one was so THICC. the custard was much heavier for the hojicha donut, it was SO GAO (in a good way!!) which really let you enjoy the earthy notes of the roasted tea 🤤
