Hard to get a good cuppa . However this is one of the rare ones which I adore alot as there isn't any bitter aftertaste to it unlike the one from Starbucks
Ingredients were filled to half of the toasted bread, so please expect to have 1/2 kosong bread afterwards. Initially, I was excited at the sight of the slightly charred sides of the toast BUT why no butter taste de ah?! Oya and the eggs are like bland bland one 🤔however I really like the addition of cheese into the sauce which helped alot in the overall taste
Started my meal with excitetment but ended it with disappointment. Indeed, the variety of side dishes(free flow) is what I'm here for! But.. Sadly, none of them was my favorites(because All were mediocre or even worst than that). The seafood soup pratically just tasted of MSG with slight sweetness of the sea and it's served with 1 LARGE prawn, mushy crab and generous amount of clams. Could it be I made a wrong choice in my selection of menu?! 🤔🤔🤔
We have seen chilli crab in pasta, bun and bao. But now, we have it even in curry puffs too! And the list might be endless in the future! This curry puff is definitely a quick bite snack to satisfy one’s craving for chilli crab but no matter what, this modern rendition of chilli crab would never surpass the traditional version.
Nestled interestingly at a lift lobby, making use of every inch of the available space! What a smart move to save on rental fee? Although, it was mentioned on the board that their paying system is solely by tips with recommended prices on the board, I was told to paid 7 bucks which was reasonable with my 1 for 1 deal thanks to burpple beyond! I would say its a cup of great coffee which is a bit heavier bodied, chocolaty with gentle acidity. As for if its priced reasonably, I would leave you guys to judge.
Time to make a stop at this place after your shopping spree where it served instagram worthy laska pizza and brunch opened by an atas menswear label...
Laska pizza :One who always detest the tomato base on a pizza might prefer this laska paste base instead as it's much more savoury but caution of the pizza's sides as they are too salty for my linking.
Big breakfast: filling and full with an assortment of ingredients such as scrambled eggs, mushroom, smoked salmon, baked potatoes, salad, sausage and toasted bread
How rare is to see Ang Ku Kueh that has various colours from purple to green and orange. But fear not, they have claimed that no artifical colouring has been addded as the kuehs are made with sweet potato skin and coloured yams for the colour. The generous and flavour- packed filling enclosed within the chewier and jelly-like sweet potato skin (unlike the traditional ones which are stickier and softer) are perfect as grab-and-go snacks. However, seats are also available if you would like to have them on the spot too.
So it's time to be creative(not really because limited selection) and customise your own favorite tendon. Start with the ingredients(mixed, prawn only, etc) - - > base (rice, soba, udon) - - > spiciness level(1-3)! Was really afraid that the batter used will absorb all the frying oil, becoming greasy and mushy but luckily my worries did not come true! Although, I got thirsty along the way as I ate (kinda expected), an ice green tea was great enough to alleviate the dryness of these fried food, allowing me to devour the entire bowl by myself
1st place would definitely goes to (dramatic drum roll) KUIH DADAR! Pandan flavoured rolled crepe that is packed with juicy grated coconut. Oh my how can it be so soft, and at the same time not mushy with a slight chewy mouthfeel. If you aren't a fan of sweet snacks, this would definitely suits you as their grated coconut aren't steeped in gula melaka, preserving the original taste.
Pasta De Dak-galbi ($16.90++): I'm glad that it is spicy as stated and the pasta was served as a replacement of dough in a pizza, along with generous amount of vegetables(especially capsicums) which basically dominates the entire dish and chicken. There is a sweet aftertaste that I personally dislike but generally a filling carbs dish!
Recently opened at SingPost, located within Platform m which seems as an atas kopitam with cuisines ranging from Chinese to Korean and lastly to Japanese! Their menu items seems alike to Korean street food but definitely at a steeper price since it's in Singapore. However, I enjoyed the rice cake and Sikhye tremendously, despite that I was slightly dubious at the soupy sauce of rice cake. I always thought that the consistency of rice cake sauce should be thicker but this was totally opposite and it does not taste diluted at all! The spiciness level and taste is definitely on point so try it out if you can overlook the fact that it is soupy version of trad rice cake.
Instagram worthy is the best description I could think of. Addition of $2 for the Lava OmuRice with flowy centre. However, it's far too watery and neither it has any eggy and creamy taste that I was expecting.
