What better way to spend the night and beyond than at the newly renovated Martini Bar at the Grand Hyatt, with a revamped food menu, straight out of Mezza 9’s kitchen, and wide selection of beers, spirits and whiskeys (sourced from all over the world) that’s sure to cater to each different palate.

Renowned for their martinis and with concoctions such as the Lollipop ($18+), Martini Bar aims to create a new experience of enjoying drinks through its unique combinations and adding a playful touch to it. Coupled with the newly furnished setting, it creates a comfortable but yet elegant environment to sip your martinis like a Bond girl (or James Bond for the guys).

What might seemingly looks harmless, the Lollipop Martini is a drink that you shouldn’t judge a book (or glass) by its cover. With the right mix of vodka, peach liqueur, lemon juice and blue caracao, it gave birth to the Lollipop Martini with the playful addition of a rainbow lollipop. Refreshing to the palate but yet packs an alcoholic punch.

From the same group as AOKI (Les Amis), Sushi Jin offers quality Japanese cuisine in a lovely setting — but at fairly reasonable price point. Their seafood is flown in from Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo thrice each week, so you can expect fresh, quality sashimi. For a no-brainer, opt for the Bara Chirashi ($32), featuring a generous amount of fresh sashimi, tamago, ikura (salmon roe), and tobiko (flying fish roe). Alternatively, the Hokkaido Don ($38) boasts a more delicate flavour profile with its trio of sea urchin, ikura and scallops. The rice brims with a pleasantly subtle umami kick, thanks to the special seasoning of shiitake mushrooms. If you're coming in a pair, sit at the counter. There are also a few small tables for groups of three to four, just right for an intimate catch up with friends. Recently extending their operating hours to include Sundays, why not have chirashi brunch for a change?
A good starter though a bit too filling. Creamy smooth Uni with squid ink pudding beneath. Yummy. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 August 11
I didn't sign up for an omakase dinner. I'm serious. I didn't know dinner at Teppei only serve omakase. So, I stepped into Teppei, stupidly thinking that we were gg to have one dish each but ended up with a $60 Omakase dinner. That said, dinner was nothing short of amazing. The authentic Japanese dining experience, watching Chef Teppei Yamashita fooling around in his playground, trying a million different dishes and of course, having mouthfuls of orgasmic Japanese dishes makes the money spent way too worthwhile. Will I wake up at 7am to frantically ballot just to come again? YES. HELL YES.
☺️ It was one good experience! To wake up at 4am, to cycle as the sun rises above you. But not when you have to cycle up slope after slopes. 😂
Wow. This slab was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is compact yet cosy, and reservations are highly recommended. I'm definitely coming back for more.
I love this Quinoa. Interesting flavor of Tomato and Pandan, Chinese Olive Veg, Parmesan and Almonds.
Even though it wasn't a Wagyu, this piece of ribeye from New Zealand turned out to be stupendous in the expert hands of Chef Shaun.
Beautifully flamed all over for a subtly crisp finish on the outside, the steak when sliced, revealed tantalising pinky-red meat that glistened with juices. What I saw was confirmed by what I tasted. This was medium rare perfection.

Thinly sliced pork belly marinated for 36 hours in tamarind then deep fried to a crispy char. Dunk them into the zesty chilli sauce and they make the perfect accompaniment to a pint of Archipelago Bohemian Lager.
