for me, the quest for good char siew never ends. so be it nestled deep inside marsiling, if its good, its on my radar. see the good ratio of fats and meat in this picture! marination is executed very well the HK, KL way and i like it that the char siew is charred a little to give that extra burnt flavor!

a trip to KL is not forgiven if you never drop by Meng Kee. fatty, heavily caramelized and oily with a gloss - this is the best char siew I eaten till date. forget about the chicken they serve here, just whack the char siew!

Melt in your mouth goodness, good for sharing in 3s or more as you need to other at least 300g! 100g for $5!

Decent chili. Having different noodles for once can be good at times. The fried dumpling wasn't very nice though. Soup was pretty good!

This Yong Tau Foo has a perpetual queue and its not hard to decipher. Of course all the items are prepare fresh in house, replenished frequent and stacked sky high in the display area. I have tried the laksa today but usually i will go for their infamous clear soup broth. The clear soup base resonant a combination of high quality ikan bilis, soy bean. The ikan bilis and soy bran combo is even available along with fried chopped garlic oil at the collection area for you to add to your soup. Besides all that, you definitely have to try the chee cheong fun. It's fresh and only very limited quantity each day.

Dropped by something at the bakery and rewarded myself with a yummy Dark Chocolate teacake. Love the Christmas atmosphere and the jolly spirit of cupcake making for deliveries (mine inclusive). Hope on down soon for a jolly good fellowship!

Ivan's Carbina within a coffeeshop located under a multi-storey carpark cam be easily missed, but its menu offers a variety rarely seen in foodcourt western stalls such as Rosti like this one. A large Rosti nicely seasoned in salt is crispy on the exterior, while the sour cream mediates the starchiness being light and refreshing. Chicken was succulent and tender, though the thick and earthy mushroom sauce is slightly let down by its lukewarm temperature. ($7.80)

There's new brunch items on the menu and that's one of the many reasons I'm back here.
Egg-in-the-hole is a must have and I wanna try the hazelnut waffle next time. Happy Sunday Folks!

Somewhat deconstructed Salmon Egg Benedict, they called it Spud and Fish. Instead of muffin, they replace it with house made russet potato cake and lots of healthy fresh greens.

It can be an indicator that you're not enjoying work and weekend well. I hope not as I enjoyed mine well, and anticipating the next weekend fun to come. This is the Beastly poached egg from the pulled pork hash I had on Sunday. Need to go back to The Beast soon.
