Flavour-wise, I did enjoy the fries with the guac and queso cheese dip. The flank steak was also reasonably tender and well-seasoned.
Sadly, they came to the table ice-cold so I probably wouldnโt be back again.
The ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ช ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ช๐ง๐๐๐ง was as good as ever. Their regular fries are super crispy. Itโs definitely way better than their Cajun fries.
After Burpple Beyond, we paid ~$15 per pax. You definitely need to reserve a few days in advance though because theyโre always packed. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!! ๐ท
Was recommended the ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐จ (~$26) the last time I posted about this place. The beef was soft and tender and the mashed potatoes were a nice vehicle to sop up the red wine sauce ๐ฅ

Not sure why this looked so diff from the other Burpple reviews. My egglet wasnโt crispy at all, and tasted more like a pancake.
The ice cream wasnโt amazing either. While the Pistachio ice cream was quite creamy, the Choco Milo just tasted like regular chocolate ice cream. On the bright side, prices were very reasonable though.
All in all, I probably wouldnโt be back again. The place is quite inaccessible as itโs deep inside a HDB estate in Toa Payoh.

Was quite amazed that the scones sold out by 9am (omg right). The scone is more sweet than savoury, but has a prominent scallion aroma. Not bad, but I wouldnโt crave it.
Iโve always thought toasts (avocado, ricotta, pbnj) sold at cafes were way too bourgeoise and overhyped. But after Iโve tried this ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ($12), I think I get the appeal.
The sourdough toast is so crusty and yet so soft at the same time. The ricotta is also incredibly rich and creamy. The roasted cherry tomatoes provide a pop of acidity to cut through the richness of the cheese. TLDR: I love it, I need more.
Thereโs limited seating here (~5 sheltered, ~6 larger open air tables) and you canโt make reservations. Despite that, I still managed to get a seat upon arrival, so just be opportunistic!

Pretty much your typical poke bowl, but with some nice additions like mango and onsen egg!
Iโve had Haakon poke before, and Iโve noticed that their salmon is not the freshest. While the salmon was still very mild and creamy in flavour, it wasnโt as soft as youโd expect for sashimi.
Get the pink guava (50% sugar) and skip the earl grey one! Earl grey was super bitter and undrinkable at 0% sugar... Might have been better at 50% as well?
The RSM range is clearly their bestseller, and for good reason! Either way, BBT at $2 a cup (after Beyond) is pretty worth.
While I loved their burger, I didnโt enjoy the ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐จ ($24) as much though. While the meat was tender, it wasnโt really well marinated. The BBQ flavour mainly came from the thick layer of BBQ sauce on top of the ribs. Sadly, the best part of this dish was the wedges, so I probably wonโt be getting this again. โ โ

This place reminds me of those Australian brunch spots with their tiled walls and high ceilings. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how pretty the restaurant was! It actually reminds me of Merci Marcel (though my impression of that place is mostly from peeping in thru the windows rip)โ

I know everyone gets pasta at this place, but I seriously canโt bear to spend $$ on pastas so I got some meaty mains instead. We paid $15 (inc tax) per main after Burpple Beyond, which is pretty worth to me. โ โ

I enjoyed their ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ช ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ช๐ง๐๐๐ง ($25) because it was made from all the basics done right! They combined all my favourite components of a burger (a brioche bun, some caramelised onions and a juicy patty) and took out all the things that wouldโve made it soggy (lettuce, tomatoes etc). Of course, girlโs got to have her vegetables so I was glad they also packed some salad on the side.

Upgraded my fries (+$1) to Cajun fries, which were pretty flavourful! A bit ๅฟ็ to pay $1 extra for that small bit of paprika powder, so Iโd probably stick to regular fries next time. โ โ
I also loved the ๐พ๐๐๐ช๐ฃ ๐๐ง๐๐๐จ ($8) โ a massive bowl of fries seasoned with paprika, garlic powder and other spices. Super crispy shoestring fries and Iโll defo get it again. โ
