Prices are wallet friendly and the yakitori sticks here are of good quality. The meat is succulent and moist. The view of the Singapore river makes this place a good choice to bring a date.

After hearing everyone rave bout it, i decided to give this a try with a friend. Was. Not. Disappointed. The waffles are fluffy and crispy at the same time, and the ice cream was smooth.

It's pretty comparable to Burger & Lobster in London, but i hate the no-reservations policy. Cocktails here are pretty decent too.

Sashimi here is really good, especially the uni.

Crispy and flavorful, i could finish one whole serving by myself. This is probably the only dish worth trying at House tbh.

Uni creme, butter poached lobster, japonica rice, honey ponzu, caviar with cheese, what else could i ask for?

You get that subtle vinegary aroma from the sushi rice, the slight umami of the deep-fried soft-shelled crustacean, and that earthiness from the toasted sesame seed. The rice's soft yet firm fluffiness works really well to counter the crab's crisp exterior, and then complements its soft meat. And then you have that inimitable creamy richness of the avocado chunks ensconced between the rice and crab. Ok, that's all.

Restaurant, bar and studio, these three storeys pack in one cool crowd, and a surprisingly tiny kitchen. On their lunch menu, find popular donburi options like the Refinery Bowl ($10) with super tasty pulled pork, the Gyuniku Donburi ($14) with truffle-kissed shimeiji mushrooms and tender tare marinated steak, and the Teriyaki Chicken Don ($10). Each rice bowl comes topped with their oh-so-sexy 72 degree egg. If you're there as a group, order starters to share; both the Cauliflower Fritters ($10) and Salted Egg Onion Rings ($12) are unforgivingly moreish! For dinner, the dons come in ‘small bowls’ (from $6) instead, maybe so you can dedicate space for their tasty selection of skewers. With plenty of chow options, this is the perfect spot to unwind after work with ice-cold beers.

Koji Sushi Bar is an extremely small hole-in-the-wall eatery located within the busy China Square Central area. This place serves to please hungry office workers looking for a great chirashi fix. At just $17, the Sashimi Rice bowl is a steal, with a generous portion of lightly marinated chunks of salmon, tuna, swordfish, yellowtail and jellyfish, topped with tempura bits to add a slight crunch. If you love uni, a top up of just $8 will get you fresh, creamy uni from Hokkaido. Opt for brown rice (additional $1) if you want something healthier, but the vinegared sushi rice does tie the entire dish together for a more satisfying bowl. Make reservations if you're coming for dinner, as seating is limited.

Definitely one of my fave places for good jap food. Pretty reasonably priced as well if you go for their weekday set lunches.

Great place for hanging out with friends and a good ol' cuppa. The beans are imported so it's quite authentic.
