Cakes and tarts sold there were AMAZING. Chocolate had a great balance between bitter and sweet- allowing you to experience the taste of real chocolate. The atmosphere is cozy, and a really awesome place to catch up with friends or to simply hang out with them. Price range: $6-$9 for cakes. And $4 for cupcakes. I'll rate the overall taste a 4/5.
I failed at trying to make conversation with the owner😅; so let the picture do the talking instead :)
The resultant melt is drenched with strawberry sauce before serving. The highlight was certainly seeing how the blue flames engulfed the sphere and how the flambé kept going. Whilst obviously quality chocolates were used, I'm not sure the final blend of flavors really worked for me. We were informed that this was crafted specially for the Singapore outlet. Happy catching up with old pal @veldenneo
The color blocking style of the cafe reminds me of the Windows tablet interface (hmm). I had a long black from The Cult of Done beans from Workshop Coffee, UK. It was smooth and the temperature was right. The $9 price tag was pricey but I understand that prices for other roasts start at $5.50. Cool place to check out, at least once. Is this the 'new black' of cafe culture in Singapore ? Prob not.
amazing lunch experience watching these bad ass talented chefs prepare food in the open kitchen. I couldn't appreciate their signature smoked quail eggs, but I absolutely loved their charred leeks w browned butter and hazelnuts, great combination of flavours. And of course, their burnt ends classic pulled pork sanger. Each mouthful was a divine kick of aioli spice and melt in your mouth pork snuggled in a crisp soft brioche bun. Do not pass up on that fresh hot out of the oven fig tart sitting in front of you, it is as delicious and beautiful as it looks. 😋
$10 for 8. Buttery crispy crust, smooth beancurd filling, loved it!
Real honeycomb, liquid honey in a syringe (too cute!) and choice of milk/froyo soft serve. Chose the froyo, apple &cinnamon granola. Loved it but melted quite fast and it was a little too sweet for me towards the end.
Tried the popcorn ($5.50) and honeycomb today, still nothing special to me but I loved the taste of the honey comb. Natural sweetness balanced with the creamy soft serve.
Another old school kopitiam added to my list!
Food is filling and yummy. Everyone enjoyed their mains with the only complain being the pasta being a little too salty! A place that doesn't disappoint. The pear cider was light and refreshing too.
