For just 8,000 won (about S$10) per person, you get an eye-opening spread of about 30 banchan (Korean side dishes) with rice and soup. Few things make me happier than a table crammed full with food, so you can just imagine how elated I was at this place.

Of cheesy chicken, cheesy teokbokki, and gigantic mugs of beer with @elsalmondsmart and @dawnmusk in Seoul almost 2 years ago. Chimaek is the best!

We were recommended this place (you can find it by Googling “Flying Chicken Seoul”) by the receptionist at our hostel. Much like many other eateries in Seoul, this one boasts a cool interior, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere👌🏻.

Throwback to yonks ago when lunch was served at Fat Fuku, where everything was incredibly delicious. Hard to pick a favourite since I was fair and had seconds of everything, but if I absolutely had to, I’d vouch for the Gado Gado Chopped Salad and the Crispy Mee Siam with Prawn Sambal & Quail Eggs (not pictured).

Always a fan of @oldsengchoong’s traditional pastries and their mooncakes are no exception. I love how the baked skins are thin and the smooth, dense filling is never gluey or saccharine. Among these three new flavours pictured, the white lotus paste infused with that distinct durian pungency is my favourite – my 4-year-old nephew loves it too!

If you like baked mooncakes, I also recommend their previously launched renditions of White Lotus Paste with Yolk Blend and Black Sesame with Yolk Blend & Melon Seeds – the salted egg yolk is mashed and evenly distributed across the centre of the mooncake in a horizontal layer, so that every bite is guaranteed a portion of that crumbly salty goodness.

Was in Hong Kong this time last week for a milestone event. The weather was yucky, but I’m missing the food. This was the first thing I ate: Tsui Wah’s famous condensed milk bun, which tasted all the better because I was ravenous. Best part is that there are no queues to brave at the many outlets in Hong Kong.

My picks from the new brunch menu at @paddyhills.sg! The PH Big Breakfast is exactly as advertised – a whopping serving of scrambled eggs, tater tots, cured salmon, maple sausage, Danish loaf, mesclun salad and a meaty, unctuous slab of BACON STEAK, which we all agreed was probably the single best thing to grace our palates that afternoon.

The Ramen Risotto featuring a hulk of tender Kurobuta pork belly also impressed all around the table, with al dente rice cooked down with lard. A very tasty number that won’t disappoint.

I also liked the Maple Fried Chicken. The cubes of Belgian waffle in the dish are meh, but the chicken itself boasted perfectly crispy batter and a very moreish coffee-maple glaze that had us all wanting seconds.
